It will be very interesting on what happens in Vegas on Tues. They both have Fleet Service employees on the ground. Which crew should work it, accroding to contract language? I mean if they have both companies working it than TWU has a grievance for pay issues. If TWU works it alone than IAM has a grievance for TWU working their flights. So if IAm works it in LAS and PHX than whose really celebrating IAM and US Air, No fun for HP. I hear TWU got picket permits for LAS and it Starts on the 23rd wouldnt that be interesting and good for publicity!!

I hate to restate old issues, but prior to this "merger" the future wasnt looking to good for US on its own. The mentality of its my sandbox, my toys isnt fostering the co-operation that is going to be needed to survive in this tough economy.
Personaly I think your unions are a joke. They havent done a thing for you except take your dues.
Please lets figure out how to work together and build a world class team of united, and dedicated team of employees. Together we can all win, alone we only loose

My union(IAM) got my friend's job back after he was fired without just cause. That is worth many,many years of dues.

The 2 Airlines can Spend all this Money on Another New Paint job-gee US has at least 4-5 flying right now and HP has-How many? but US is in Bankruptcy for -how many times because it can't pay it's bills, gets rid of perfectly good employees, gets rid of YOUR Pension and Medical BUT can paint Planes!!!!!
It should have been the 2 P's to begin with and left out the U and it would still be a Good Airline! 🙂

Hmm...and to think they didn't even hire an outside firm to design the paint job. HP's marketing department did it. Oh well...your post is mainly flame bait anyways. 🙂 Otherwise you would clearly understand that planes need to be painted anyways. As far as number of schemes flying around...last I check US had just 3 variations - the standard, STAR, and the polished metal for mx reasons. HP has one plus their 757 logo jets.

I suggest that whichever HP or US employees that would like to work the new livery flight in whatever cities it stops in, WORK IT! Stand together as one team, working for one airline. If any diehard unionist decides to question them about working the flight, just tell them to go to HELL and keep on working the flight. When we stand together we are strong. It's amazing how many people will swear that there are planes being flown around in the old USAir livery, even though they've all been gone for years now. 🙄

And the usairways.com planes are on their way out, being sold to Jet Partners for scrap as part of the 10 737 deal.

I noticed that 350 was already parked by the hangar in PIT the other day, in the spot where US puts planes before returning them. Is 573 out of service yet?
