Look, I know that you know better. The FARs set a minimum standard. Company policy, procedures and good CRM are designed to increase the margin of safety. Cockpit experience and judgement should provide yet another layer of safety and that asset is not the sole domain of the left seat. I already mentioned imminent fuel exhaustion as an exception. You are endorsing ignoring the second pilot because the capt knows better at all times. That smacks of the old and discredited notion that the captain is flying solo and the F/O is there only to yank gear.
You are one of the most outspoken advocates of DOH on this board. Yet you endorse ignoring the experience of that 20 year veteran when he/she tells you to go around because you are the captain.
