Hope it came out readable.

Found this mid eighties PSA drink menu interesting. Both for the prices of $ 1.00 for alcoholic drinks, and also for the choices or Martinis and Manhattans. Wonder if they carried vermouth in the galley or if the drinks were premixed bottles.

Does any domestic US carrier offer such choices today?

I don't remember Manhattans, but the martinis were a pre-mix and not very good. The only good martini is made by looking at a bottle of vermouth while pouring gin over ice.

well one thing hasn't changed on US and that is the pre mixed so called "Premium" cocktails still taste like poopie ka ka. I was really hoping the mojito was better.

As for your comment regarding the appropriate amount of Vermouth, I have a buddy who has an antique perfumer atomizer he fills with vermouth and he gives his Martini exactly one squirt from the atomizer. Suffice it to say he's had that bottle of vermouth quite a while now.

Since I was only drinking Piedmont Punch and other non-adult beverages back in those days, I wouldn't know!

The Manhattans were in a bottle already premixed, just like the martini's we had.... we also got olive for the martini's... they were gin martinis.
That was many many years ago.

Winston Churchill would approve.

As for the PI punch, I wonder how it would go with vodka?

At the time of the merger I was 22, so yes I was legal to partake, and thanks for the compliment.

I loved the 80s

The 90s and the millenium were good too.

Not sure what to call this decade, but the fun hasn't stopped.

Wish everyone could say the same.
