Come on, an Executive Board Member of DL 141 has been terminated from the company. How can you still say that the District wasn't involved? I agree that it may not have been ordered from the highest level at the District, but anyone that knows the AGC involved knows that he pulls all the strings in PHL. The flunky Officers at LL 1776 and the shop stewards do exactly as he says. If the AGC was at the Marriott, and judging by his termination I'd say he was, he had the power to stop the entire thing. End of story.
Well then this is what the TWU International needs to do. Septa employees are TWU and there are a few thousand members here in the PHL area. I know quite a few of these guys and know for a fact that there are some real tough dudes in that Local. TWU International needs to show some support for its Reps that were allegedly assaulted in PHL. Send a couple of vans full of local TWU members down to the next meeting at LL1776 in a show of support for the beaten Reps. Let the chips fall where they may. While they're at it, the TWU International needs to put some pressure on City Hall to make sure this doesn't get swept under the rug. I don't think the City wants any transit troubles. Unfortunately I also don't think that the TWU has the guts to put pressure on anyone either.
Local Philadelphia IAM officials entered the hotel room and said that TWU had better close shop and leave because there was a mob which they could not control that would on their own shut TWU down.

If I tell my wife to "shut up and stop nagging me or I'll punch your face", and she keeps nagging, so I break her nose and knock out some teeth, does that constitute "fair warning"? If I go to the local grocery and tell the incompetent teenager at the check-out lane that if he returns to work tomorrow, I will take a ratchet to his head, and he returns the next day and I do, indeed, crack him full force upside the head with a ratchet, does that constitute "fair warning"? All of these years, I could have had total legal immunity to beating up people and I never knew it. I'm starting my own thuggery today!

I think I see how this "fair warning" thing works.
If an IAM official tells someone to stop doing something or a gang of thugs will beat them up, that constitutes "fair warning".
If I tell my wife to stop doing something or she will get a punch in the nose, that does not constitute "fair warning". That is spousal abuse.

LOL...I don't need to Google squat. I know everything that's going on and everyone involved (IAM side), do you? I didn't think so.

Although I almost never agree with 700, and sometimes agree with Dell, I have to say you 2 seem to be digging yourself quite a hole on this one...C'mon guys, 4 people were assaulted....a "fair warning" is NOT a legal argument, and as another poster said previously...Why was an AGC at the Marriot in the first place?...I know what I'll hear, To warn his fellow "Trade Unionist Brothers"?? Give me a break!! 😉
