It's funny how NW and DL were able to merge their seniority lists in such a short order. However, I would suggest that this was a result of watching the US unions fight and they wanted to avoid it.
Level heads should stop and understand the NW/DL integration approach and see if it can work for US.
At the end of the day NW/DL mgmt did not create the merged seniority list the employees did. Remember the union is the employees.
Stop the lawsuits and sit down and hammer it out. The only winner in this continuing argument is our competitors. We have the most to loss and at this point the least to gain by keeping the fighting going. We will end up back in Chapter 11 for many reasons however this pilot issue will haunt us for many years if people can't bury the axe and move on.
It's time to move on.
