I'm beginning to think that the best prediction is: the biggest losers will be the ones that post here with the most glee.

Not to change the subject, but....Why the red stapler?

He was so excited about the nic he began calling himself mr. stapler???

He would say, "Ho, Ho, Ho, St. Nic is coming to town"!

But winning the lottery wasn't to be,
poor mr. stapler wouldn't be getting his captain seat,
at least this time on the backs of the east.

🙁

Yep. ALL the airlines are in full-on survival mode with fuel...but we hadn't better raise any fares...

And all the while this airline has a neanderthal commando brigade bent on self-destruction, making headlines with their adolescent pranks, and criminal behaviors in general...

yeah, thats gonna go over well at the sandbox.

I must confess, it's a fascinating study in professional self-destruction though...

(their legal counsel must be going nuts...they're gonna make him the hardest working lawyer outside of Mesa's..)

Well, we knew it was coming. I really have to feel remorse for any and all who are involuntarily put on the street. Our own 300 and now this. But then again, some may be choosing to be out of work voluntarily. HHmm.
Indeed...with this carrier looking to furlough, the gangbangers are raising their hands?

I am right on the cusp of furlough this round. Depending on VOL's, I will wind up on the 190, which I can't afford to be on...so I may have to leave anyway. After just being back online for 1 month from FUR.

Gee, I sure wish that stapler-boy would step-up and take the hit for me...he sure is asking for it.

My best to all (who are not asking for it...)

As for the "gang"...happy trails.

FWIW. In CLT last week the DCA CP said there were about 100 voluntary furloughs stepping up. I hope that will lessen the impact some. But then again, you never know til it happens. Lots of people change their minds at the last minute.

Well it seems that some may have changed their minds. I know someone who had put in (wanted 12months put in for 6) He got a phone call explaining, uhmmm...6 months. We are looking for a 3 year commitment. He exlaimed and said give it to me.

anyways, from unnamed sources within usapa, from Hogg himself, I believe there was actually about a MAX of 35 on the East side taking this offer. Unofficial of course, as things may change.

I believe a certain Capt. in LGA was also stating the 100+ number. He was, once again, quite wrong.

It very well could be only 35. Like I said it was from the DCA CP. He could be referencing the number of inquiries. Just trying to look on the bright side. Even though there isn't one in this nightmare.

Yep, I know...I've heard the same from the CLT CP..and apparently the PHL CP too...

we'll see...I really would hate to go elsewhere (strange as that sounds) I've been through a lot with this company, and I have a DOH that should protect me going forward...but who knows.

It just pisses me off that there are people who want to see something good happen here for once, while we have a kamikaze squad on the west who seem to be asking , or challenging, a swift kick in the arse right outta here.

Strange.

For me, it's about the $$$. The 190 just isn't there...it's an entry-level airplane paywise...and I have over 5 years here.
Group 2 is what we were "guaranteed" to come back to...with the "last call for recall" letter we all got.

I would have stayed where I was if I had known this was around the corner. At least I could pay the bills.
What a travesty...by my figures, I'm about 20-30 out of holding a 73 after this FUR...(currently on the bus) if we get that many VOL's, I may be able to stay.

I hope we get the numbers for you to stay elixir; I've been where you are, I know all too well what it is like. My prayers are with you and your family, as well as everyone else that is on the block.
