USAPA has petitioned the court for a TRO to make the named defendents stop their alleged actions. The judge will consider that motion this Friday after he considers AWAPPA's Motion to Dismiss.

This Friday? That's great.

At least one way or the other, we may get a feel for how the judge sees the merits of this case.

Folks just a reminder to keep this on topic. UAL furloughs should be discussed on the UA board. Thank you.
What is going on with the E-190? Is management considering selling the E-190? Are there negotiations going on about the fleet count? Is there possible relief by USAPA for some carrots?

If you didn't care, why to you insist on inserting your irrelevant self incessantly into that subject?
FYI, AAA73Pilot asked me a direct question, out of curiosity, as to the extent of furloughs at UA. His question was relevant at the time due to US Airway's announcement of fleet reductions and furloughs. I answered that question succinctly with the best estimate based on the facts available and information I knew at the time.

THEN the attack squad chimed in with post after post about how I was wrong, childish to think that UA wouldn't furlough many hundreds more than I predicted, ALPA's attempt to mitigate furloughs was futile, the end of the world as we (UA) knew it was over, and on, and on, and on. Every post of mine since then was a response to a provocation by one of your own. The more I refused to roll over and submit to their view, the more the attacks flew. The more I posted real information, the more agitated they became that someone would dare question their self-appointed "authority." And here we are, 30 pages later. 🙄

Then in the end, true to form, they tried to turn the tables and claim all I was interested in was being right, and boo hoo hoo, shame on me for focusing on such petty things when people were losing their jobs. NEWS FLASH... I was trying to be positive and hoping for the best in a bad scenario of people getting put on the street. It was your group who was predicting a blood bath of furloughs twice that which will actually occur. Yes I am thrilled that I was right because it means LESS pilots on the street, not more.

So please spare me the "why are you here anyway" routine, when it is your attack dogs that provoke confrontation and invite pointed rebuttal to their wildly inaccurate and inflated claims, and then can't muster an apology when they are proven wrong. You really need to look in the mirror before asking such questions.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program...

How more alike could any two people be? Are 767jetz and USA320 the same individual with split personalities?

There was no glee here.

There is not a lot of glee any wheres in this industry. Does it really matter who is right or wrong?. This industry is undergoing a fundamental paradigm shift. Change is not easy for labor, it never has been. Oldie, you and I are too old to care about the small stuff any longer. Lets just enjoy our time in the cockpit, enjoy our friends, families, and things that are important to us.

Even if 950 is the announced furlough number, 767Jetz, so what. When the first large USAir layoff took place in Jan, 1991 , I was told, "your fine don't worry about anything, you'll be alright". I felt so sorry for those furloughed. Well 6 months later, they closed most of the California stations (SNA,BUR,ONT,PSP,BFL,FAT,CCR,MOD,MRY,LGB) and a host of other former PSA cities, and parked the BAE-146 fleet. I was then on the street. 2nd rounds of layoffs have and will occur. The luckiest pilots were those first laid off. The got the few jobs out there, and are now more senior today than they would have been. If I had a crystal ball, I would surely want to get laid off at the beginning of a furlough streak than at the end.

Oldie, the reason that I, a UAL pilot am on a USAirways board is that I still have many fine East friends still working there, and have an interest in all of our careers.

Good luck to all of us, we will need it.

When did he ask that question? You've been here for months inserting yourself into this discussion that now, all of the sudden, you say you don't care about. If you don't care, get lost. If you insist on blathering on about "our little war," then at least be upfront enough to admit that you care about it.

Your actions speak louder than your pontificating.

Sadly true sir. Best wishes for you UAL folks...and all of us caught up in this mess of an industry, especially those of our fellows who'll find themselves furloughed.

This Friday? That's great.

Indeed. The motion to dismiss should be nearly comical in and of itself:

AWAPPA mouthpiece: Stands up and starts speaking ".....Move to dismiss"..and immediately trips over a half ton of boxes full of phone records alone...

USAPA is my source of amusement, along with those who think that they can continue failed policies with some hope of success. Of course it's cruel to sit there and watch them bang on the door for an hour without reminding them it says "Pull". Pure genius!

But my greatest laugh is yet to come, when Parker tells Pres. Bendforward that he will not accept a DOH list and that the termination of pilots during the current crisis would be a hardship on the airline and that they should continue to look for solutions to their internal problems. All the while the clock ticks away towards the next representation election which I am sure will have some surprises for everybody.

But keep on rooting against the west. Look how much good it's done ya so far.

Oh, and the TRO is a nice touch. Do you all like when Pres. Bendforward yells, "RESPECT MY AUTHORITYYY"?

All of your comments on this board are childish and show nothing but anger...No real knowledge of anything. Why don't you take a breath and read your posts before you send them...Waah Waah.
Failed Policies is not a phrase that represents USAPA. But, you wouldn't know because your head is too deep in the sand.

Trips? Aahh...... more like slipping on some little brown.........???? Well you get the gist.

Excuse me, but it was YOU who said this:

And your distinguished partner oldiebutgoody was speculating with glee about UA furloughing 1200-1500 pilots and even as high as 1760 pilots!

At every turn I argued that the bloodletting will not be as bad as you and your attack dogs were childishly speculating. My glass was half full. Yours was half empty. Of course no one (except maybe you and "oldie") wants to see ANYONE get furloughed. So yes, I am enthusiastically happy that I was right and your predictions did not come to pass. If you and oldie were right, many more pilots would be on the street. Something your group was practically hoping for, the way you attacked me with my more conservative and hopeful predictions.

Leave it to you to try and twist it around. Your hypocrisy is evident. On behalf of the hundreds of UA pilots that will NOT be furloughed as you predicted... enjoy that egg on your face!

Each of you knows your intentions and cannot read the other's mind.

As an outsider, I have to say that your concern has appeared, from the beginning of this number crunch, to be about where you will sit when the dust settles.

As this is my opionion, based on the posts, please do not assume that I am saying that you only care about yourself. I am telling you how the posts 'appear'.
