We might be making progress though. It sounds like some on the east have moved all the way into the third or even fourth stage of the grieving process:
1) Denial
2) Anger
3) Bargaining
4) Depression
5) Acceptance

We are seeing number three. The bargaining! Now after 5 years we are hearing about compromise and what can be done.

When the ninth rules we are going to see depression and anger. Anger at the ninth, anger at the west, anger at the USAPA, but no anger at the east pilots themselves. I just hope that we do not retreat back to step 1 denial by trying to take this mess to the SCOTUS.

Then finally we can get to what I have been saying for a long time, acceptance. It is to bad that we had to wait over two years for the east to accept this and move on. You all have cost everyone a lot. Not just in money but time and emotions and good will.

Another massive miscalculation of reality. We aren't buying any of that psych you are trying to lay on us. You need to read another psych. book. The one where the other side says you still don't get it, no matter what you want it to be, it ain't there. NO. You are not getting us to sign off on the crap deal. As long as we can, we will. As long as we can vote no, we will. You are not getting your much needed lottery winnings. The longer you keep hanging on to your dream, the bigger chance you have of getting nothing. Our upside is much better than you think. We are not depressed, repressed, what ever you said. None of the above. What we are? Ready to kick that Kirby deal and the Nic back where we kicked ALPA- into the SMOKING HOLE!

There was a telephonic BPR meeting yesterday, and one of the main agenda items was a Negotiating Advisory Committee briefing on the tentative agreement for an Early Retirement Plan. This is the plan that is supposed to reduce the number of upcoming furloughs. USAPA should have already put out an update to share this information for all pilots. This is a big deal for a lot of pilots and their families; so what's the scoop? Does anyone have any good information on this?

It is 80 k, and it isn't enough. Just like any other deal that comes from Tempe, the only good ones are for them.............

Actually, the MOU says it is $70,000. If you're 61 or 62 and thinking of leaving here very soon anyway, or if you've found another opportunity, it's not a bad deal. There will be some takers, hopefully West and East, and it will be greatly appreciated by those facing furlough.

In a single paragraph you use a plural pronoun 11 times. Have you got a mouse in your pocket? Unless you are an elected rep, you speak for only yourself. Just because you say that “weâ€￾ will or will not do something does not cause it to mean that other east pilots agree with you. You have but a single vote among many, how about sticking to your opinion and let other east pilots speak for themselves.

The time is running out for the cactus 18 and they know it with all the serious charges against them, I did not know some are facing jail time, I think they should have taken the deal USAPA gave them but are now backed into a corner, can't wait for the outcome!!!

I think the only ones in real danger of jail time would be the ones (John Does) who threatened physical violence to that first West pilot looking to be a rep.

Oh yeah, that's why they aren't running to accept USAPA's offer. You really need to do some research on this USAPA fiasco and what it might cost you and a few certain reps.

You might want to read the complaint or pick up a phone and talk to someone. There never was and not now is there any jail time over the RICO BS. None was every even asked for.

I can't wait for the end either but for different reasons. I can't wait for Cleary et al to be charged and sued in a very expensive countersuit. When Cleary and the gang are hit with a multi million dollar bill and they write a check that will be the end of this.

I think this case was already thrown out once. That is because there is no case and no need for a deal.
