You crowed about your July 24th upgrade attempt, so you've been given all USAPA has to offer - delay. Now you are expecting the pay that should go with being CA, but alas that won't be, because USAPA cannot deliver on that. Oopsies!

The facts:
member in good standing = your vote.

Members in good standing = our votes (east or west)

Your vote carries no more or no less weight than mine

My time in service carries no more or no less weight than yours

No DOH/longevity = no security for the Junior pilot

When you purposely try to control the free flow of knowledge and ideas ("Our Identities have been compromised!! Stop, thief!! and the lack of a USAPA sponsored webboard to exchange ideas) then you obviously don't believe that the west and east should be treated equally. And when a union decides to take sides at the expense of the other, it faces a DFR suit.

I hope I'm understanding you correctly here. You are referring to the East Pilots being emotionally to the point where they would rather drive US Airways into Chapter 7 and throw everybody onto to the streets than endure what they view as being screwed yet again?

If I understand you correctly you find that notion a little hard to swallow, correct? Well I do too except to say that all humans have a breaking point. Once events go beyond a certain point rationality & logic suffer. It's similar to keeping a dog on a chain and beating it regularly. At some point one of two things will happen. The dog will cower and whimper and try to hide from every person as it fears being hit. The other scenario is that the dog, figuring it will be beaten no matter what tries to bite everything in sight, snarling, growling and showing it's teeth with every breath, perfectly content to bite women, children, friend and foe it makes no distinction. A lot of US east pilots have clearly reached the point where any threat real or perceived will be met with snarling and growling.

I had an incident way back in '09 with US that was my defining moment. The specifics aren't important. I had an issue that needed resolution immediately. To US's credit it was resolved in time. However the process it took to rectify a simple mistake and you would have thought I was negotiating to have hostages released. What a Cluster Fornication it was. It was the only time I ever called my secret squirrel contact on my own behalf and that person was even frustrated with what transpired. I'm looking towards several opportunities that would put me back on the road with travel at the top elite level with any carrier. US Airways has lost the bulk of my business until Kirby and Parker are gone. I used to do a whole lot more Customer Advocacy as I liked helping customers. Now, I just don't care and what I do now is take a few just to maintain my relationship with my contact.

There was a time when I would have and did actively confront the union guys over making sure not to cause US's liquidation. Now if USAPA, AFA, IAM want to shut the place down I hope they send some cool memorabilia that I can keep or sell on e-Bay. The time IMO has come for the workers to tell these lying conniving Rat B*stards Kirby & Parker to either pay up or close up. I frankly no longer care which it is, JUST DO IT, whatever it is.

WAKES, HOBBY as one law firm saw fit to portrait it, well what happen to the other criteria it was appealed on?, AOL aint going to mention it! THE 9th RULED on the obvious, PARKER was asked to be dismissed, NOW HE WANTS IN, oh yea , your little scheme is it 3mill now got snagged, yea keep tellin your followers we will get reimbursed next time, maybe the next time aint going to happen, fragmentation, get used to it, like the used car, worth more in parts than as a whole, and guess where the scrap is! An airline is composed of professionals, not 6th-grade girls. If they think they are too emotional to come to work, mail in their ID's and go find something less stressful to do.

With unemployment 9-15%, they are easily replaced.

As for the pilots, they are self-neutered and pose no real threat, except in their wild imagination. Most of them think Charles Bronson should have been picked to play their part.

The two million was very well spent. We all now know, with certainty, what is going to happen next time USCABA gets dragged into court to explain themselves. Without Addington, the DJ wouldn't be happening. Without Addington you would have DOH and an industry standard contract. Without Addington, your pay would have been greatly increased years ago. Addington stopped all of that. The Misery addington has inflicted upon you is priceless.

It was so much fun in fact we're all ready to go again. The only problem is USCABA is incapable of making it ripe...if a miracle happens, and USCABA gets a contract ratified, rest assured the West will swing the 2x4 of justice squarely into USCABA's forehead in a nano second. The facts remain the same and USCABA was too stupid to get the 9ths warning to them.

It's all moot. Silver clearly understands exactly what is happening here. I have faith Justice will be served. USCABA agrees, that's why they fought tooth and nail for over a year to avoid her court room.

Wow after the last PHX crew news the kid with the "HAPPY MEAL" wasn't a pilot, he was the most mature acting in the room, Bingo, you win with the unemployment rate why would the EAST except KIRBY and a position loss, SCRAP is SCRAP! MM! Keep goin you may get it!

This is what makes it so difficult with you. I've no doubt that you're a highly skilled pilot, it's your understanding of the human condition that puzzles me. Which my explain why I'm in Sales and you fly airplanes? Who knows. Many of these folks have worked 30 years at US, been through 3 mergers, 2 BK's, Lost their pensions and whatever else I missed.

OTOH, HP was through one BK and mostly growth since it's birth. No surprise that your outlook would be different. If it weren't I'd question your mental stability for flight. All I'm saying is look at the situation through the other sides prism and perhaps you'll still disagree but maybe you'll understand why they do what they do/say. To those on the East I'd suggest you do the same. Then maybe there is a shot at common ground.

Are they? I keep seeing articles about pilot shortages, so maybe you're wrong? I don't know because I never got past the headlines. For all I know they could be projecting a pilot shortage in 2025. Also bear in mind if they can replace "them" they can do the same to you.

What do you mean "attempt"?

First, I been on the airplane three times before, FIRST attempt, no failures.

Second, class isnt until J-U-L-Y 24th, 2011....uh, one month from now, dude!

Next month to those of you in Rio Linda.

You seem new, and also, you are not a pilot, with all due respect. However, for some reason you have a reason to either entertain yourself on this forum or you like chewing on tin foil and grating your head with a cheese grator. Nevertheless, the workings of inter union interaction and relationships would take a Ken Burns documentary over the span of a year before most outsiders could come close to grasping the nuances of labor. Even my wife, as smart and edumicated as she is, has a difficult time grasping how our CBA works.

Having said that, unfortunately this issue has to and must be resolved among the pilots. To many outside the world of aviation this seems cornney or trite, but in reality, well, you see it, it is what it is.

What's unfortunate is you have to see web boards and not talk face to face. It's like what the southwest pilot said over the radio with a stuck mike....you don't have to wonder why pilots get a bad reputation.....it just takes a very few to ruin it every day.

Well, I see the non-pilot has given us a sound legal treatise that we all can live the rest of our lives by. Bravo!

This is going to be used as evidence of bad faith for the next DFR because USAPA doesn't have a web board, right?
