US Pilots Labor Discussion

You don't get it. USAPA is enemy #1. You chose that. Not us. The thought of an improved contract never even enters my head...it's pointless. We aren't ever going to get one until the seniority issue is settled. Again, a path YOU chose, not us. It's USCABA that wants to devour the "soul" of the West pilots, not the company. You guys are a mix of insanity, malice, and arrogance. If the "Armageddon" you fear exterminates USAPA, I say bring it on. Most on the West can start over. No big deal. You were the one that promised an industry standard/DOH contract to your ignorant constituents. Your abject failure to deliver isn't our problem and your fear and desperation is palpable. IOW I don't care if you die on LOA 93.

Please, whatever you do, keep encouraging your East brethren to defy the company and keep your stupid, pathetic symbol of your illegal job action. An illegal job action so thinly veiled you were dumb enough to actually put it in print and hang it around your neck. You may as well fashioned those lanyards into a noose. Keep up the stellar advice maniac.

BTW LCC posted a quarterly profit of 256 million dollars. The company and share holders offer their heartfelt thanks to you East pilots and

It sounds like what you are saying is a safe operation is an illegal operation. I don't know how you get illegal job action from a slogan that promotes safety. The company can have a witch hunt and you can join in if you wish but in the end I think it is the company that will end up with egg on their faces. As for the lanyards if the company says we can't wear them I won't but I won't wear theirs either. I have not yet gotten the cbs message saying that we can't wear the safety lanyard perhaps the company has come to their senses........

Especially when the CEO writes in the airline mag - that the safety culture was their idea......hrmmm - but now they want your lanyard removed. Oxymoronic.

From the lack of comments, I'm guessing no other pilots listened to the state of the airline address.............

(Since AA & AWA pilot groups still work under two separate contracts, they have separated our data for information purposes):

I don't see AA and AWA having a joint contract for a long time!

The one at the meeting? He seemed nervous. Hostile audience!
Nervous? Delusional? Did the Lil' General take the Taurus on a road trip to listen to Doug? (Oops, I just remembered, Cleary doesn't listen to anybody).

He doesn't like hostile audiences? That explains his absence in crew rooms.

The audience only sounded to turn "hostile" when he accused Scott Kirby of drunkenly assulting an FA. He took his kids off his flight benefits because US is unsafe? I'm sorry, he may be a nice guy and a perfectly good pilot (I don't know), but he sounded like an absolute nutball. In a way he is right, I don't think I'd feel safe on a plane he was flying.

The company has Safety First signs all over the system, when you pull into CLT between the concourses, on all the gate displays in PHL and even all the floor mats downstairs in the B and C concourse. Bob is correct safety is NOT a job action. Will the company have to take them all down?

No, no. I'm talking about the state of the airline address today. You must be thinking of the PHX crew news from a few months back, you know the "Happy Meal" one? Or maybe the one from a few years back where Johnny Macaroon was asking Doug where he could turn someone in?

If he was in PHX as an east pilot, it was a hostile crowd, especially with the koolaide crowd at Tempe. That said, I wish the guy had researched the Kirby thing. It had already been addressed and denied. As far as the state of the airline, pretty much dead on.............

Or in PHL right on the outside gate boards, right beside the "shut down APU".

I haven't worn the yellow lanyard. Know where I can get one?

So for the next 5-10 years you and all the east pilots plan on doing exactly what you are doing to day? After we get a contract you are all going to continue this same level of awareness writing up light bulbs and smudged placards?

If so where was all of this concern 6 months ago, a year ago? Why are you just now coming to the safety party? Where you unsafe before?
