I've talked to pilots who went to meetings during the bankruptcy negotiations and the PIT and PHL Reps sat silent and refused to answer their questions.

Then those pilots you talked to don't know what they were talking about either. You are just making stuff up as you go. You don't even know who the reps were, much less what transpired.

I guess the recent downturn in the market has made you less assured you don't need this job.

American Eagle is so short of crew that they are paying 300% credit for those that wish to fly trips on / during vacation. An Eagle Captain (EMB) tops out at $110.00 / hour. That's $330 an hour for a trip during vacation time that you had no plans for!!! Don't break out your calculator folks: That is 2.64 x east NB captain pay! Oh, BTW....American Eagle pays 100% DH, MECH & Cancellation!

No, but IF the AAA guys had not WALKED AWAY from the negotiating table 4 YEARS AGO, we might have gotten the DAL wage and like them be negotiating for a SECOND post merger contract. MILLIONS of DOLLARS and TIME OFF that you will NEVER get back.

Our NAC is presently negotiating AWAY from the better contract (AWA present contract) in an attempt to buy DOH (NOT GONNA HAPPEN).

LURKERS: How much more money and time off do you have to lose before you are fed up? We can change the union just as fast as you get involved. Go to www.reformusapa.com and review the 3 petitions. Even if you don't agree with the seniority of the Nicolau Award, you should immediately complete the other two and send them in.

El Presidente Cleary & his regime are spending USAPA into a hole at light speed with NO CONSTRAINTS.

USAPA = FLIGHT PAY LOSS & LITIGATION MONEY BLACK HOLE...

Clever. The paragraph does mention the $15 difference in captain pay difference(EMB vs. A320/B737....not to mention the Eagle CA makes $15 MORE an hour than our EMB 190 CA).

I'm just trying to make the point that delay costs those USAPA supporters money and time off that they will never recover. It is my hope that some less emotional thinkers will be getting tired of USAPA's lemming leadership techniques, and perhaps be willing to move forward with the Nicolau, a much better contract and perhaps $180 +/- an hour for NB captains.

All we need is several hundred quiet voters that will help change the constitution.

I guess I can place you in the "NO, I would prefer to live under LOA 93 until worlds end & Mike Cleary is the BEST union leader that we've EVER had" camp.

OH, BTW.....if we had signed a contract with what the company testified in federal court would be expected (Kirby + an additional 7-8% for a total of 10-11% on top of AWA wages), YES we ALL have lost MILLIONS of dollars collectively. Further every one of you would have gained one week paid vacation, 100% DH, 100% MECH, 100% cancellation, etc.

The point that I am trying to make (especially for lurkers) is that unless you change USAPA's constitution.....YOU WILL NEVER GAIN ANYTHING (other than the left seat....eventually at the nations crappiest airline contract). If you are already a captain, you have lost big time.
 
Hate to burst your bubble, but EVERY union has to bond its principal officers, its a requirement.

I know as a former Principal Officer in the IAM, we were bonded for insurance purposes.

BINGO! You tell him. It's a common practice throughout labor and the non profit world as well.
