US Pilots Labor Discussion

Not on this end.

You guys seem to be the ones desperate for a compromise.

But, alas, the Nic is it.

Keeping begging though, it makes me laugh.

I'm not begging for anything. I just think it is a shame, after all the sacrifices that have been made, that this company would implode because of this seniority battle.

You have the NIC. Now lets see you use it.

Take you best shot at imploding the company. You guys won't make it a half step before hitting the street in a wave of terminations. Parker couldn't care less. Believe me. Since 2005, all your wounds have been self inflicted. Nobody gives a damn about your sob stories anymore. You're more than welcome to be paid like a turbo prop pilot but I'd rather not. BTW Parker pontificated among West Check Airmen the other day that we're 2.5 years away from settling the DJ. That's assuming USAPA survives that long which is doubtful. Even if USAPA was thrown off the property we're still years away from a contract probably.

Can you imagine how many votes USAPA would have garnered if they told the East Pilots the truth in their campaign? "Hey guys, this probably won't work but if you're willing to live with LOA93 a minimum of 8 MORE YEARS, I think we can really piss off the entire company and STILL end up with the Nic Award!!"

They only got 53% while telling the big "90 days to a DOH, Industry Leading Contract" Lie.

The company won't implode because USAPA has been slapped down.

And patience. It'll happen.

Hey Driver,

Why do you need us to compromise. You are free to negotiate aren't you? That's what Cleary said.

You control the BPR.

You have the majority.

What's stopping you?

I struck a nerve, didn't I?

We will never be one pilot group. Too much anger and hard feelings. That is what will cause this company to implode...not me.

I frankly don't know what Cleary said. I voted for the other guy. I see paper with his name on it I delete it. I'd be willing to bet you are more versed on him than I am.

- Nobody controls the BPR. It is out of control.

- Negotiate with who? Do you read the notes from the negotiations?

- The SPLINTERED majority...big deal.

- What is stopping me? I'm not King. If I were, you would ALL be unhappy, East and West.

Jesus! And you sit back and let him drive you off a cliff.

Don't you have any self-respect?

You're flying at rates that literally scrape bottom and you just sit and spin.

And the BPR is very much under control. Cleary has them singing and dancing his agenda. I do bit know how our PHX reps put up with that east ####.

Here is a perfect example. We don't agree on anything...NADA. Probably never will. I say it's up, you say it's down. I rest my case...

Just out of curiosity, what benefits do we see with a compromise.

We lose the Nic and you move off LOA 93.

Not a good start for us.

What gave you got?

Speaking of morons,

you just admitted on the board that the West grievence was dropped because the company was confident in a win, while the LOA 93 grievence was persued even though the company is "extremely confident....what is a number very close to zero....not losing any sleep".

So, there is a double standard, if the east is going to lose a grievence anyway, it is still persued, while if the company feels the West will lose it is dropped.

And, like I said, where is my money for the min block hour grievence we won 2 years ago? this is already in the bag, we won, the company moved flying east to save east jobs and furlough more West pilots than they needed too. A huge slam against the West. Where is my money??? Why is usapa ignoring it and fighting losing hotel and LOA93 grievences rather than collecting on an already won grievence.

I may be a moron, but I know a scab union when I see one.

Get used to your second class citizenry here....it will last awhile!!!
Be patient...your checkout is coming...........in 2023

Ah Barrister, another east piece of work.

How are ya?

So, we're second class citizens and youre on LOA93 - how does that work?

Just wondering how you explain the fact we've kept you on LOA93 all these years. Weren't you promised a contract a long time ago?

Lots of you guys are growing impatient.

Look at Driver's post - he's looking fir a way out. Hates Cleary. I bet he sells you out down the road for a new contract.

Ya, second class.

The NIC and LOA 93 have nothing to do with each other.

The Merger Committee had good data and a reasonable plan PRIOR to cowardess infesting our MEC. I saw the charts, I knew the players. It was a combination of LOS, slotting and ratioing depending on where you were on the list. The furloughed pilots got credit for their LOS but not to the point that they slotted in with flying Captains from AWA. No plan is perfect, but it was better than the NIC OR DOH. I was told that day that DOH was a non starter, but that was before the MEC threatened to recall members of the MC.

The age 60 rule change was a two edge sword. It benefited some and stagnated others. It also pushed the attrition out 5 more years that would have gone a long way towards easing the pain of both sides. There were many issues working against both groups. I wish the plan I saw that day had been presented to Nicolau instead of wasting everyone's time with a DOH proposal. Who knows?

A little late now. I just don't believe you can build a successful airline out of either one of those integrations NIC/DOH. If I was in your shoes, I would probably feel the same way you do. Talking on this board changes nothing but it is the only interaction we have. Twice I've seen jurys locked up in deliberations and twice I've seen reasonable people look deep for that place that moved them forward.

Well, you asked. Not much really, but its all I got. I am watching the CLT election. If the same group is elected to the BPR, then I expect the staus quo into oblivion.
