US Pilots Labor Discussion

He didn't need to be given any options. ALPA gave him what he needed and no where in that document does it say "you cannot place a furloughed pilot ahead of an active pilot, even to achieve the goals of the merger policy". Brucia told him what he did wrong and he ignored him. What make you think the east would have had any better luck?
Brusia thought that the furloughed pilots that were recalled should have been given SOME consideration. Would you east pilots have accept the Nicolau if 300 furloughed pilots had been given a year of credit?

Oh wait that still does not fix your crying about the 79 330 captain positions that you think are so important. Remind me again what Bruacia said about WB flying? What else did Brucia say abot the award. Oh yeah that Nicolau did a very good job.

If I am talking to someone and trying to make a deal of course I am going to make suggestion on how to do the deal. Heck buying a new car the dealer may not lower the price but if I suggest throwing in some extra part or pieces he is not going to just do it. Nicolau told you to come off DOH/LOS. Make him happy and come off DOH/LOS but ask for fences or WB protection. But that was the east pilots fault not Nicolau's.

You guys keep blaming ALPA merger policy. Explain the significant difference between ALPA merger policy and A/M merger policy?

Fact: On the June 1 bid award there were 69 A330 Captain positions. The junior A330 captain was #362 (who is not on the current list). #359 was 1 spot ahead of Knapp on the A330, and he is #223 on the current list.

So how many West captains on the Nic list are senior to the 2005 East A330 captains?

Jim

You can pull any date out of of your ass that you choose but there was a time when bottom 330 Capt was around 515-530 give or take
and were 1981 hires and NIC put about 60-80 West guys senior to theses guys......who were junior to the original 517.......
not bad for guys who didn't even have a major airline job until AWA hired em in 1983. Most 330 people gone in the next 2-5 year.
What is so damn trajic is that by the time this gets resolved and put to a vote so many guys could have held the wide body jobs the old fashioned way
...but now never will!!!

NIC screwded the pooch boys. It was so onerous in the midde and bottom it will NEVER work. All the East has is seniority and we will NEVER give it up

All you had was a great contract you will never give it away.
all you had was a pension you will never give it away.

Full pay to the last day.

Tough talk no teeth, no action.

Look at the Nicolau seniority list TODAY. How many west pilots could hold a 330 position TODAY? Pull your head out.

I mentioned a specific bid for a perfectly valid reason - does PID ring a bell. Any other date, like your "there was a time" is pulling it out of your ass. You should put some ointment on that part of your anatomy...it'll relieve the burning sensation

Now I'm curious. Why only for those that don't agree with you? I think it was underpants that pretended to have no dog in the fight but just wanted info, only to take the east side within a few posts (while still claiming to be an outsider). You didn't express any curiosity then. ROACLT professes to be an outsider, not even working for an airline, but you've express no curiosity about his/her interest. Why the double standard?

Jim

Carolina wins 16 to 10.

All news to me. I have a life outside these boards and trips to fly. Unlike you, I don't keep track of all the players here. I noticed in a post earlier today that 767 was a United pilot and it struck me as curious that he is so passionate about what goes on here. I don't go back and read all the posts...just look at what is going on in the here and now and comment on it when it suits me.

Just watched the crew news.........East Pilot Hiring

Isom says the east will be hiring "well over 1000 pilots in the next 5 to 6 years"

The attrition train is leaving the station

The westies always tell us to enjoy our LOA 93.................Big Mistake!

Isom says he doubts any hiring in the west................Big Surprise!

Some really tough days ahead for the west...............J. Freund tried to tell you all the risk was on the west side!

2011 is going to be a good year in the east and 2012 will be the game changer!

Had Nic followed Brucia's advice it may have been enough to keep USAPA at bay, but he didn't so we don't know.

Who's crying? I saw doing your ahole routine and showed you were wrong. I actually think the top west pilots got screwed by Nic.

I'm blaming Nic, remember I said he had the tools he needed from ALPA? The policy could have been better, but Nic screwed up the integration. So we were supposed to take his feelings into account?

Just wanted to make sure since you love to pick out snippits:

What happened to the possibility of leasing that I mentioned?

First, airlines buy airplanes all the time that they don't have the money to pay for. Ever hear of an EETC? How many Billions worth of airplanes does US have on order today? Do they have the money to pay all that? Did you pay cash for your house? Car? Second, why omit the other possibility I mentioned - leasing? You just had to latch onto that "didn't have the money to buy" song and dance didn't you

Seems like you've mentioned that it's only fair to "share" going forward. Guess you didn't mean it...

Jim

Snippets, yeah that's it. Making up bs again. Answer my other questions.

Sure, I've bought things on credit, but AWA was pretty much tapped out and by the end of 2005 wouldn't be in the position to do that, according to Parker or Kirby. Plus, they have A330s now and don't use them in their PHX or LAS hubs, so why would they have needed them? Oops, scratch the LAS hub.

You and several other easties make the same mistake - believing that you have the authority to decide if ALPA policy was followed (similiar to believing that the east and only the east can decide what "fair" is). Here's a hint - you don't have that power. Only the ALPA BOD does and they said that the policy was followed. You, Barrister, and others can say the policy wasn't followed till you're blue in the face, but that doesn't and won't make one bit of difference. A jury quickly saw clearly what USAPA was trying to do. What are the odds against a future jury doing the same?

As I said, projecting the present into the past...

Why should I answer every question you dream up. All you do is answer questions with more questions anyway...just like your friend Nosum...

There you go again Jimbob, making up crap that I supposedly said. Where did I say he didn't follow ALPA merger policy. I said he screwed up, my opinion and I think very valid considering where we are. Do you never tire of being wrong?

Go to Vegas and get your odds.

It supports my theory. You? There are several unanswered posts of mine on here...................

You're slipping.

The policy could have been better, but Nic screwed it up

What would the "it" normally refer to in that sentence? Come on, Mr Perfect, what would your elementary school teacher say? An oak tree? A bird? Maybe a dog? Even a house? Anything that let's you attack another poster?
