US Pilots Labor Discussion

If ALPA was negotiating, we wouldn't have wasted years and millions of dollars fighting over the seniority portion of the contract. All of that time could have gone to something productive for the entire pilot group and the money would still be in the bank.

Airtran's, ALPA MEC has managed to piss off Southwest to the point of possibly loosing retro pay parity, sale of the 717's, continued separate operations and pay scales and also resulting in furloughs. They turned down the Southwest SLI offer and guess what, they didn't even let the 1700 or so Airtran pilots vote on it. Way to go ALPA.

Point of clarification: the AIR TRAN MEC didn't let the members vote.

Will that be something like "days" from now or will it be like when we were days away from a split back in June?
Don't know about days but you guys should be happy and so should we. Anyone with half a brain knows this merger will never be completed, Parker failed.

No, the east pilots have failed to honor the results of binding arbitration.

USAPA has failed to represent all pilots according to their legal duty

The 9th failed to understand the existence of a Transition Agreement and it's effect on ripeness.

USAPA has failed to gain any negotiating leverage at the bargaining table; in fact, USAPA loses negotiating leverage on a regular basis - a federal injunction comes to mind.

USAPA has failed to put any additional money into the pilot's paychecks three years into their installment as the CBA.

The RLA failed to provide remedies for a rogue union that refuses to accept its legal responsibility to negotiate in good faith for a better contract for its constituents.

Just out of curiosity, how many times/ways can you say the same thing? Don't you ever get tired of typing it. I sure get tired of reading it. Guess it's time to put you on the ignore list.

But you don't ever get tired of east pilots blaming Parker for not completing the merger? How many times have we seen east pilots post that they are perfectly happy on LOA93 wages so long as doing so blocks the NIC from being implemented? Do you not see that it is illogical for a person to blame Management on one hand and then turn right around and admit that they would not accept an offer from Management if it includes the only seniority list that Management is legally permitted to offer? Are you going to rebuke Luvthe9 for continuing to blame Parker for a situation that only the east pilots can resolve outside of a court order?

Yo Callaway, by the end of this month you west guys will be the most inconsequential pilot group in the industry. But don't you worry.

I thought the event you previously were speaking about was supposed to happen next week. Did that change or are you expecting a second significant develop after that? Come on, be specific about what you are predicting. That way we can come back here and admit just how right you were. Or, of course we can demonstrate that your predictions were wrong once again should events not unfold according to your prognostications. Unless you can be specific, you are just blowing smoke that serves no purpose or than to dangle the carrot a little further in front of east pilots to keep them from engaging in mutiny.

Some of you east guys need this beaten over your heads a number of times using different sticks. With the way you guys are bailing on this board, it looks like it's working.

For most at least.

Now are you going to ignore me too?

Awwwww, look at luv. It's nice to see him so excited over something. Sure it's just a merger rumor, but whatever makes him happy.
Not a merger, but keep trying. I know what makes me happy.

Yep...

All the issues we could be discussing, and all I read is NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC, occasionally followed by NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC.

Talk to yourself since you seem to know everything. Rack up a few more of those +s from your buddies.
