US Pilots Labor Discussion

The west contract does not allow for bumping unless their is a displacement bid (so-called reduction bid). No bid without vacancies. I would bet this provision remains in any JCBA.
NEVER SEE IT WITH THE NIC, Doesn't apply to base closure or reduction , what DP will do at first chance! NEVER HAPPEN!

I didn't know the "east pilots" had a say in that.

About the only thing East pilots had an opportunity to say was WTF?! Finally enough East pilots got sick and tired of a bunch of elitist that got rich off of selling "tough solutions" in one hand for the fear and gloom they were pushing in the other hand.

They always denied having any responsibility for the results of their sales job by using the condescending accusation that "YOU are ALPA." ....Now they whine that they got their butts tossed out, and fail to admit that we finally listened to them..sorta.. "YOU are the union." Damn skippy.

Well, I'm still waiting on clubbie to come up with something that wasn't passed by the MEC (all of whom were east pilots) or majority vote of the MIGS. Care to take a swing at it? Remember, without buyers a "sales job" is just so much hot air...

What about the LOA 93 arbitration is unethical?

This arbitration was persued in a disingenous attempt to gain leverage and force an unrelated issue.

It is no more ethical than say a false accusation of sexual harassment against an employer as retribution.

The scabs don't like that the company told them to pound sand over the seniority issue, so they trumped up something to go after the company with to mitigate permanent seperate ops and/or in case of one in a million golden bb, have the company in a compromised position. Problem is for them, that golden bb hits, and it will ricochet back and put more than their eye out.

usapa itself is nothing more than an unethical scab outfit, so everbody pretty much expects this behavior.

Integrity Matters...usapa has none...so, expect every usapa persuit to be a failure, including the unethical LOA93 grievence.

I am not saying you should not take any money awarded you from this grievence. You're 100% correct in your statement that usapa is not going to return the agency fees they require you to pay, and extort the West into paying.

Ok, who did this? Man that was nice.

I think the first time I saw that video was immediatley post merger, when we got the new paint scheme.

From the quality of the footage, and the copyright data in the lower right corner, (Lowe) I am betting it was performed by one of Airbus' pilots or test pilots during delivery phase to take promotional footage with our new paint scheme.

I am not involved in USAPA other than paying dues.

Just saying it like it happened. The fact that you, along with tj, can't seem to think is not my problem.

I am happy to have seen ALPA go, and not just for the wrongful arbitration.

Some folks will never allow themselves to share your satisfaction in a membership vote that ousted ALPA. Many of those same folks are the ones that yell "YOU are ALPA the loudest, and it is a sweet irony that the more they spout "YOU are the union" the more they validate ALPA's dismissal. 😀

That took the wind out of my sails. I thought it was my hero Mutatis Mutandis, I thought it just had to be. I think I'm going to go sit in the corner and hate myself now.

According to the guy who filmed it and posted it on youtube:

Usairways flight from PHL to Manchester 30 august 2010. 276AY tail number

It was a normal revenue flight.

The spotters that do this sort of thing as a hobby always post tail number, date, and location.

Well what is even more hilarious is your observation, anyone that knows anything about the 330 , and you don't! can tell where it landed and when it was! BS your such a fool your post is hilarious!

Might have been MM!!! Could just as easily been an east pilot as a pilot in Airbus' employ. I would think we ferry them to and from the paint shop. Where did the 6 originals get painted, and is this a -200 or -300?

But, it does appear to be a pro video, just from the quality of the zoom and pan, you can tell it was a decent camera on a tripod. Oh, and the backlighting is just about perfect on the nice shiny new paint.

I thought I saw it long before 2010, maybe a different video?

Anyway, congratulations to who ever made the nice landing, and the quality video.

Uh....you opine it was right after the merger, and then ask if it is a 200 or 300. A most disingenuous question. What is your real motive here other than to praise MM's wonderful piloting?

And yes, the grievance was only filed to slow up the merger and the seniority integration. Yeah, that's the ticket.
