What's new

US Pilots Labor Discussion

"What's new" is a Federal Bankruptcy Judge telling you that we would NOT exit bankruptcy and the ATSB telling you that they will not give you the money to exit bankruptcy. You and many others cried fowl over the vote but you know that it would have passed anyway. I guess you have to blame somebody for it.

The outcome of a vote never taken is just speculation. ALPA always knew better than those who paid dues, and their condescension finally caught up with them. Even Jet Blue figured it out.

ALPA's MO is always to yell "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!",and "The membership isn't smart enough to be trusted to vote correctly on things while the sky is falling." What's new?
This is funny right here I don't care who you are.

Do you think "the membership" east pilots are any smarter now then under ALPA? Let me give you a hint. Same guys. Do you think that the usapa leadership is any smarter than the ALPA leadership? Let me give you a hint. Mostly the same guys.

How is this all working out for you "smart members"?

There has been a lot of talk about what could be voted in, especially from some on the west that say a T/A with NIC would pass.

Some numbers:

Currently The east has 1750+ scheduled to retire in next 9 years. Not all Captain or active. But figure at least 1200 capts and probably 1000 active. Figure approx 500 max f/o(probably a high estimate)
So we are back to the same old argument that got us into this mess.

Blah, blah, blah the east is the majority you get to decide whatever you want because you are going to take it by force damn the law or arbitration or anything else.

Until a vote is taken we will never know. But this union and this leadership will never allow a vote. Two reasons. They are incapable of getting a contract and second they are afraid it will pass and the entire reason for usapa will be over.

Your continual attempt to persuade the East to vote in your best interest is proof enough.

I did not say anything about attempting to get you to vote one way or the other. I was laughing at your history and how you have voted or not voted before. And that you think usapa changed anything.

Same people voting same people running the thing. Nothing is going to change.

Look at the elections in Chicago or Detroit or Philly.

Same people voting same people running same problems year after year.

I guess you have to blame somebody for it.
That has been my entire and only point in pointing out that east pilots passed every concession, often by their choice not to vote in rep elections. Thanks for recognizing it.

ALPA gave away a several billion dollar pension and folks want to treat it as either "oh well, no body is at fault. Or, you are ALPA, so you are at fault. Thirteen ALPA punks want a medal for saving us, just like the West wants a medal.

This arbitration was persued in a disingenous attempt to gain leverage and force an unrelated issue.

It is no more ethical than say a false accusation of sexual harassment against an employer as retribution.

The scabs don't like that the company told them to pound sand over the seniority issue, so they trumped up something to go after the company with to mitigate permanent seperate ops and/or in case of one in a million golden bb, have the company in a compromised position. Problem is for them, that golden bb hits, and it will ricochet back and put more than their eye out.

usapa itself is nothing more than an unethical scab outfit, so everbody pretty much expects this behavior.

Integrity Matters...usapa has none...so, expect every usapa persuit to be a failure, including the unethical LOA93 grievence.

I am not saying you should not take any money awarded you from this grievence. You're 100% correct in your statement that usapa is not going to return the agency fees they require you to pay, and extort the West into paying.

The more you post, the more your entitled attitude is. First, you want to cut in line of a pilot with years more on the property, that, is SOCIALISM. Do your time, earn your spot. Next, the grievance on LOA 93 is as plain as day. What do you have to do with our LOA 93 issues? Butt out. It has a date, what does a date mean? And I really don't give a damn about what you think to be honest, as it is always about you, and your made up INTEGRITY. I think you are finally realizing your little game of LEARN TO LIVE ON LOA 93 is DEAD IN THE WATER. Backfired, in your face. You are very shortly going to see a reversal of fortune, and it isn't going to be fun for you. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving bunch.

So now we know how USAPA is going to balance its budget.

What we don't know is how USAPA is going to present its case on 12/1.

What we do see is how quickly USAPA can turn on its heros.

Interesting how billing errors cropped up AFTER Seham refused to file the SQ case in NY.

For our part, and on the advice of the auditors, USAPA has stopped paying the Seham firm for the time being. This is a rational move in light of the fact that the bills in question might total several millions. However, as a result, the SSMP has put a lien on our files, making day-to-day legal maneuvers difficult and confounding our initial efforts to understand the billing issues. But it does much more than that: it casts extreme doubt on their interest to -- and ability to -- represent USAPA properly in the upcoming Declaratory Judgment litigation in Phoenix. Documentation forwarded to the BPR from Seham through Secretary-Treasurer Rob Streble aptly showed the acrimony SSMP is displaying toward USAPA. It's disappointing, to say the least, that SSMP has clammed up and offered no cooperation when all we've asked for is a clearer picture of what we've been getting for our money. Their initial obstructionist tactics notwithstanding, SSMP has no ability to restrict access to files or to obstruct the representation and best interests of the client. They have, as required, agreed to transfer them to another law firm as necessary.

Everyone knows the NIC is not going to happen why do we still waste time on it, again lets talk about the LOA93 win that's coming I think that will start to reshape things quite a bit. I can't wait ot see how the west will spin this one int o a victory for AOL that should be real funny. It's coming soon.

Thank you. Now if you could just convince your pals who repeatedly claim that a Nic inclusive contract will never pass.

Jim
