US Pilots Labor Discussion

These guys have their noses everywhere they are not supposed to, and the company greenlights it all. Thanks for the info.
Why don't you tell Junior Cleary to fill up the Tauruses and move USAPA to PHX. Explain how that makes sense since corporate HQ isn't moving to CLT anytime soon. Expect to have to explain it to him at least twice.

He ain't too bright.

The company is going to have to figure out what to do with two separate company's? Either put off any merger plans or dump the west....
Nope, I see parting the east as much more likely. Shuttle goes to the highest bidder. Trans Atlantic gets sold off to overseas airlines once UniCal kicks US out of Star Alliance. The remainder is a domestic airline that slowly bleeds out.

So your "Full Pay to The Last Day" strategy will finally play out. Except for the "Full Pay" part. Not so much.

Hooray for you.

That is great, just like WYE RIVER when ALPA itself tried to get you to compromise. That didn't work out for you too good did it? Somebody post the name of the place where they had the harm party fundraiser so we can use that for the next round. WYE RIVER was the first, what was the next place ? Did anyone from ALPA show up to warn you about "ALL THE RISK LIES WITH THE WEST" or was it a cheerleading event? Did Jacobs apologize for taking your 2 million because he didn't know what a RIPE lawsuit was, or is he still headstrong about taking and spending your cash?

Just like Wye River.... It hasn't worked out too well for you either, has it? The east never expected the west to fight back. They have spent the past four years trying to wear the west down. We are now nearing the end game and our conviction is stronger than ever. We can smell the fear in your desperation.

Dr Jacobs need not apologize for the two million he has been paid. It was made clear that DOH would cost just one west pilot that much in his remaining career. That makes the return on investment quite acceptable.

ALPA was mentioned twice and the comments weren't complimentary. This whole mess falls on Prater's shoulders after all.

Personally, I am enjoying the show. The east is coming apart at the seams and that will accelerate on December 1.

IMO, you are blaming the wrong guys. The ones that deserve it were on the MEC the June before when they were warned by the negotiating committee members that they had 3 months to freeze the DB plan or lose it. They did NOTHING.
Regardless of the negotiating posture of the "previous" MEC dudes, the assertion I am answering was that the termination of the DB plan was voted on by the membership. Which, of course, was untrue. I believe that not sending it out to the membership was also against the laws governing the MEC.

And NOBODY gives a s**t. Silver will explain it all in Dec.

I am too lazy to look up the supporting document...but I believe the meeting before Silver in a few weeks is more housekeeping. Scheduling, change of counsel, etc. Guess even "scheduling" could give us a peek into her intentions.

Anyone?

The company gave the east pilot information to those "three", a simple phone call from the executive offices to human resources and a message to one or all three to pass by a certain desk on a certain hour, look down and pick up. At least three I know in tempe told me that the entire building knew what happened. This was no accident.

The "investigation" is taking so long because the "investigators" are making certain all the is are dotted and ts crossed in this particular coverup, perhaps hoping the east pilots will "calm down" as one put it. Heck, they can always toss one or more of the three under the bus and pay them to keep quiet.

Hey how come the AirTran/swa merger didn't go date of hire?
Don't know any details except the one that matters. The Air Tran pilots approved the integration method and joint contract overwhelmingly. I can only assume its good deal. Wake me if something reasonable comes our way.

Thus the reluctance to "fill up the Tauruses and move USAPA to PHX." Why bother if the end near? Besides, nice to take them out for spin now and then! And the paint finish will last a lot longer out of that desert sun and heat.

I have always wondered why the FAA certificate (read office) never moved to PHX from PIT. Do the Feds know something we don't?

Yep, Parker knows damn well what it means, why do you think is asking for immunity from the court?
You know your right, Parker wants immunity because He's all about doing the right thing, legally of course. But don't you think there are some other rational motivations. Like the longer this thing drags the more money we save and we don't have to negotiate, seriously. I mean if He wanted a joint contract, He could do an Anderson or a Kelly Right............... right.

IF this is true, then someone needs to investigate the process because you, whoever you are, are NOT supposed to have access to such a document.

Well be that as it may but when you have a group as unethical as the east has been there are plenty of people both within and outside the process that want to see you fail. No one and I do mean NO ONE likes dishonesty and the east has been the dishonorable lot I have ever seen in my life.

You get everything you deserve.

Function of the INJUNCTION

Two words here PROVE IT!!

It is true. At that time nothing required the MEC to put anything out for a vote of the membership - not ALPA's C&B/L's or the MEC operating manual. Due to the uproar after the pension was terminated, a resolution passed to add language to the UOM requiring a membership vote on certain matters. That language is why the east pilots voted on the E190 payscale in the TA but not the rest of the TA, which was approved by the MEC.

Cleary's Not too bright? And you want to move USAPA to PHX? I guess, like most westies; you still think we are all on the same team and all need to work together. Hey, maybe we could share the same HQ building..and Cleary could get a connecting office to Parker....Get real.
