If those you name, the new hires and reserve FO's, had five years or less, would they not be locked into basically the same pay and benefits? What, pray tell, would they gain whereas staying separate gives them five years of attrition allowing them to move up?

Let me see here, two years of reserve or, with the nicholau, seven or more years on reserve.

One more time for the slow learners. The east own numbers guy Rick Salamat said the longest anyone has to wait under the Nicolau is TWO years not your fear mongering 7 or more. You are fibbing by 5 years.
 
For 1/3 of the active east list NIC is nothing but bad, for the middle to upper seniority NIC is mostly all bad. The only ones that really would do well under a NIC and the current offers we have seen is the top 517 on the NIC list, of which a sizable group is already retired.
And you would be incorrect AGAIN. Unless you consider 29 a sizable group to retire after 5 years. But don't let the facts get in the way of your fantasy and all powerful attrition argument.
 
It NEVER ceases to amaze me how LITTLE some of you Easties understand the realities of this situation. I won't bother to educate you other than to say by April, the Company will make it crystal clear to you that the Nicalau award is the ONLY sec. 22.

Vote no all you want, but I stand behind my prediction. Nic inclusive contract ratified by next Christmas. Forget your merger dreams, before a contract, nobody will touch this ugly pig of an airline.

USAPA can go ahead and accept the NIC as is, but rewrite the TA. Let the TA include C&Rs or say separate ops for 3-5 yrs. Seems to be a quicker way to a new contract to me.

Well you got the first part right. You guys should go ahead and accept the Nicolau.

The second part, who are you going to negotiate the T/A with? Would that be the company? Why would the company agree to change the T/A to add C&R or put up a fence which is the same thing as not accepting the Nicolau. It is still a DFR and the company wants nothing to do with it.

Do you not realize that every turn you run into a brick wall and the only path out is accepting the Nicolau? Do you not see that it is you east guys that keep trying to invent ways to get to a contract not the west guys? Why is that? Not confident in your position?

We have told you there is one way. Nicolau. We are not going to negotiate or mediate. See you in court.

Accepting the Nicolau and put 3 west pilots on the NAC. That is the quickest way to a contract.

That's still a DFR. AMR is having the problem now with regards to STL. If AMR management agrees with APA to cut STL, guess what....(hint: there is only one bargaining agent).

The T/A is still in place. Are you saying that usapa would let the company violate the T/A and not do something about it? Can you say DFR?

How is it that PHL and CLT would expand and PHX would shrink but usapa would let the company violate the T/A?

Who is a fleet mins and who is above fleet mins? Now if anyone of hitting the street it will be easties. You do know that the 190's and the pilots are not protected by the T/A right? Ba BYE!

Dont be so stupid, look beyond the walls of your doublewide. Clt and Phl wont, cant expand much If, no when phx goes the way of las something has to happen to those airframes. Your contract has no protection for when this happens. You can take t/a's, fleet mins, and anything else your little pea brain can think up and stick it where the sun dont shine when phx shuts down. You are street bound and not wall street, I cant wait to say " told you so". Remember those seats actually belong to the east.
 
When PHX is about to go TU see how fast Parker pulls a rabbit out of his hat and there are no "fleet mins" . Understand something CLT and PHL cant handle that much expansion. Airplanes are going to get returned and people are going to hit the street and they arn't going to be Easties. ALSO boy I wasnt a Marine but I would have been proud to have served as one.

That is correct. He represented what LOA 93 does to easties.
