Sure you hope they keep their pensions. That way you can get yours back fully funded...a gift from the AA pilots to you that makes the profit sharing split look like pocket change.

I hold no grudges, just think DOH is an outdated starting point for seniority integration...has been since shortly after deregulation passed. How many east pilots, not counting previous merger effects, have seen their seniority get less as time elapsed since their DOH increased at times during the last 20 years? If anybody should recognize that a straight line of increasing seniority that follows increasing time since DOH doesn't exist in this industry, it should be east pilots. Oops, they do - DOH wasn't an east "gold standard" in the Shuttle integration, was it. What was it then...pay rate, I believe. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Oh, I definitely understand the concept - it's all about what you can get by climbing the backs of others... 🙄 You had that right - "entitlement pr$&ks". :lol: :lol: :lol:

The court already made a definitive ruling on that and got spanked for doing so. :lol:
 
So if three people enter into a mutually accepted and beneficial agreement, and one dies, the two remaining parties are forever bound by that agreement..or could they change it?

They are bound in a tripartite agreement and it would take the curts to unwind it.

Do you think if the company could have changed anything in the TA that they would have done so using a give and take with USAPA? I can think of a few situations where the company would have liked to see some relief from the TA (min fleet for one) and I'm sure USAPA would have jumped at it.

Has it happened? No. Why? Because it can't.

You are about to be given a unique opportunity to have real influence on your own future. Stomping your feet and holding your breath is not going to change the fact there will never be a two way contract between the pilot groups here. That ship has sailed. Time for us all to move on, or in your case lacking a change of attitude, be carried on.

You have been given a great gift - to do the right thing. Pretending the Nic doesn't exist or that Addington is dead is not going to change the fact that you'll be working under LOA 93 until you figure this out. Time is running out for you as your fellow east pilots grow weary. Why continue the wait for the inevitable? It's time for you to ove on, accept the Nic, and work with us for a better contract.

Believing in anything other than the Nic is going to leave you a bitter FO when a new contract is voted onto this property. It's time for you to rip that bandaid off.

DOH is dead MM. Even USAPA knows this.

As the first two letters in your post say, pure and utter bs but that's the norm for you. Just because you feel entitled to take whatever you want via "the majority" doesn't mean everyone feels that way.

Just got a call from a friend of mine at AA he had turned in his paperwork for early out so he could get his lump sum. He wasnt sure how many senior guys went but he said they are going to have trouble crewing aircraft.
From the APA


Pilots that retired 1 Oct. will receive their A-Fund lump sum. It is unclear whether pilots that retired in Nov. will receive a lump sum. It’s highly unlikely that pilots planning to retire on 1Dec. will receive a lump sum. Pilots that planned on retiring on 1 Dec 2011 have until 3:00 pm, 30 Nov 2011 to pull their retirement paperwork.
