Well, I am not a big fan of some of the things we are seeing from USAPA. But I know ALPA is not going to come around these parts anytime soon. People got tired of our union giving away scope, while also representing the pilots that were taking the flying among other things. So I like the idea of our guys for our guys and not everybody elses guys. Yeah I know, more Anti USAPA bit%^ing incoming.

So why don't you put in to help out on the greivance committee? I think they had something out a while back asking for voluenteers to help with the backlog.

You guys are complaining non stop about this and that but Move2CLT keeps ranting that Cleary's their man so he can destroy USAPA. Kinda like complaining all the time about Obama but planning on voting for him next year. Elections are coming up! Jeez lil ole USAirways managed to do a grass roots effort to remove the worlds largest pilot union from the property...you would think 1600 west pilots could get one guy voted out of office! Probably 3/4 of the east list wont even vote in the upcoming elections. USAPA is what we have, ALPA is gone and not coming back, so put all the complaining energy used on this board and go do something to help out.

Yeah I know....more of the same crap inbound over the next 20 posts. Knock yourselves out.

I was a USAPA volunteer and remain a MIG. I was summarily dismissed from my volunteer position by el Presidente Cleary & Minister of Communications Theuer. I would be happy to help out, but USAPA's leadership REFUSES to let westies that participate in the defense of the Nicolau Arbitration to hold ANY committee office. Go figure.

Now I do know that the Communications Chairperson seat has been recently vacated by Theuer. I have been e-mailing el Presidente about my wish to hold that position. It is my belief that once the Nicolau list is legally cemented into section 22 of our CBL's, we must come together as a group and work for the best contract possible.

Maybe you can help my cause, and call Mike to recommend me for the position.

After watching ALPA feed fantasies for years, after a while it gets tiring to see a "new" and ignorant generation come up with the same failure fantasies.

Were you being serious, or was this a sarcastic remark? I was VERY effective as a P4P volunteer in PHX. I made sure that any communications from USAPA got to my base pilot group as quickly as possible. Theuer and I had discussions about my participation in the defense of the Nicolau seniority arbitration, and he concluded that I was conflicted.

I responded that I was not conflicted in the least. Any communications that came from him / USAPA went out to my pilot group without commentary or editing. In fact, I told Theuer that my PHX based pilot group was sharp enough that they would be able to "sift the wheat from the chaff" without any assistance from me.

I am stable. I do my very best to make sure that when communicating with others that there is no ambiguity in my message(s). These are the kind of qualities that I demand from my "democratic and transparent" union. Further, if given the opportunity to serve as the Communications Chairman I will seek to put together a USAPA Forum. Participants will be required to use their actual names so one can not hide behind various monkier(s).
