US Pilots Labor Discussion

I understand how that must have concerned you, but I think it would have put us at a higher wage level if we could have worked more toward a common goal, as opposed to us being at a lower level now and possibly being forced to work toward that common goal. Parker, once again, has won.
Vizzini: Inconceivable.
Inigo Montoya: You keep using that word. I do not think it means, what you think it means.

No actually I didnt, I just didnt gain. But from how you view your "loss" with the nic I can see how you reason that out.

My next pay check wont be less than the last.

Yeah, no pay cuts, and now that it is clear that the only way to a pay raise is via the benefits of attrition, it is all the more obvious that we won't give that up and the West will want Nic even more desperately.

Ironically a "no" from Kasher will serve to polarize the union membership even more that a "yes" would have.

It works both ways, my friend. We mistrust each other due to the emotional issues, and the winner is Parker.

You are right on the money, pal.

A big win for the West.....sure, that's the ticket!

This is breeze talking? The guy who had a mental breakdown on this very board? The guy that keeps putting me on ignore? The guy that voted for USAPA?

LMAO!

Figure out how stupid you can be first. Then, and only then, can you start judging others.

And please don't report me to the admins. I know that's your fallback when you get your butt handed to you.

Move to CLT, I have watched your discourse and discussion in the past. I dont agree with your position, nor want to explain mine.

suffice it to say, you and yours have won in my book, I havent nothing to fight or stay for....

I wish you n yours the best with whatever comes from AA or not..... I and any like me should be movin on......stayin here is a dead end street financially....

god luck and fair skys my friend....

No. Just looking at the realities of being able to get something voted in. We are a long way removed from 2005, people will vote what they feel is best for them. I simply tried to look at it from all points of view. How would the different groups of the pilots vote.

Thing is, everyone gets an up or down vote on whatever the union passes along for a vote. I don't see any incentive for Doug and the union to come to any agreement on something to pass out for a vote.

I think all of us on both sides of the Mississippi have known for some time that the most realistic way to a pay raise is via attrition, and will remain so for many moons.

The tragedy here is that you guys missed a chance to come on up to a higher wage scale if we had won the Kasher decision. Instead, we are all pulled back down to the AWA style contract of having the lowest pay in the industry and trying to work our way up from there.

And you think it is such a victory...all of your chest pounding! You have preached about such a better contract and higher wages if we accept the NIC and negotiate. That is BS with this company....THEY GET BIG BONUSES FOR KEEPING EMPLOYEE WAGES AT THE BOTTOM!
No. The "tragedy" is that like a teenage girl, you still can't understand the fact that YOU. Created your own crappy life. I don't need a new contract, I couldn't care less. This is ALL your problem. I. Don't. Care. About. You.

Lol, you must have replaced theur, there you go "winning" again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Actually, I have a none vote.. :-(

Mine was waitiong, (Hoping) for a scenerio where we could bargain from.

The East just got a non handed to them......

It will take a while to set in, but the east has no, (I mean NO), pargaining power...

We shall have to endure this LOA 93 for as long as the manegment can explain to the shareholder that they can

Which is forever,,,,,

anybody got an idea why they should spend shareholder mony otherwise?

East pilots might as well quit.......

That is pretty obvious, my incestuous brother.

Of course this makes the argument for the expat job more apealing.....

Good luck to all my friends and others at Usairways....

There is no reason to stay now.....bye....

More interesting insight from those that were at the meeting:

I was sitting between Braid and McKee when the words "we did not prevail" emanated from the speaker phone. Tracy kept on talking (I think she was reading from the update). When she finished, there was stone cold silence. One of the Easties told me he wanted to throw up. Not on me, I thought! I believe most, if not all, actually thought they were going to win. Incredible. McKee looked like someone had hit him in forehead with a 2X4. I swear to God he looked dazed. They all looked dazed.

Braid, Stockdell and I stuck around for another hour while the Pension Investigation committee dude gave some kind of report outlining how he's basically out of money. He and Strebble started having words and then Cleary jumped in on the side of the PIC dude. You could see the place start to unwind and tensions fray. The three of us just left even though the meeting wasn't adjourned. No point sticking around when the three of us have important things to do like get home to our families, and all they were going to do is sort of babble about some stupid issue that is probably irrelevant.

Quit?

I'm having way too much fun to quit. Maybe they will raise the age again so I can have more fun and put off taking SS for a while longer.
