What are you doing arguing with yourself. An LOA 93 win would have been great but the overriding issue is the hit
the East takes with NIC for NOT THAT MUCH MORE MONEY...are you getting it yet. You can't force us to vote yes with NIC.
Ain't gonna happen. Do you forget who you work for. Parker will put pennies on the table. and let me say it once more for you.
THERE IS NO MIN FLEET IN KIRBY. Parker coud offer 30% raised and with NO min fleet it will be voted down. Don't think parker will park 20-40 more AC if he doesn't have a min fleet to contend with.....OH yea I forgot with NIC none of you Westies give a rats ass how many AC we have.

No one is going to force you to vote yes.

You guys will do it voluntarily.

Yes, such an "overiding hit" was taken by your first 1000 guys. I mean what a travesty, number 1000/2800 and about to lose his job at an airline about to close the doors became number 1150/5400. Oh, and of the 150 from the West put in front of him, probably 120 were ready to retire in the three years following the NIC. The horror!!!!

Your top 1000 absolutely hit the jackpot with the merger and the Nic, and your next 500 faired extremely well. I still cannot believe they let scumbags like Bradford and Seeham talk them into giving up $100,000 and counting, plus more time off and extra vacaction.

I guess after hitting the jackpot they were feeling generous.

I see those names, and I think about the LA Clippers, the XFL, New Coke, the Edsel, Nehru Jackets, etc. They are about as reliable in their predictions as a 10 year old Russian condom that has been sitting out in the sun.

I'm sorry that the east lost LOA93. Is there any chance now, that the east thinks getting a good contract is important. No middle ground between the west and east contracts, but an improvement on the west contract.

Now that was very interesting. Brookman walked right into that land mine and made the company's case. It appears very obviously that all east pilots knew what Loa93 was about, that there was no SnapBack provision. But in true east form they tried to back out of their agreements, blame ALPA, feign ignorance... All the usual east stuff. Kasher saw right through their bull $h!t. I mean, here you have an MEC elected rep testifying against himself basically, he doesn't even know what he wrote on the subject of loa93. From one goose chase to the next- you easties are hilarious.

Oh yea.....forgot to tell ya......get a 20K raise in 6 months and 24 days courtesy of Uncle Sam
and the USNR.

Yeah, so what? Lots of us served in the military and retired. What does that have to do with our situation at this airline? Or do you just like to brag for bragging's sake?

I would hope so but I don't think that wil happen in the 1 yr 5 days I have left. The only game changer will be if the company decides they need a joint contract for the next transaction and more than likely they will find a way out of that legal or more than likely not legal. It would appear to me that the copamy will try to put things in the contract to make it concessionary for at least one side making it difficult to get a yes vote. In addition we still have the DJ hanging over our heads and unless one side or the other totally capitulates I don't see that happening my guess is if we all kissed and make up we would still be looking at 3 to 4 years just to get a concessionary contract unless the copany dedides that they need it.

I am pretty sure we will never kiss and make up. Looking forward for the DJ to be settled and moving on from there. If you only have one year and 5 days left then I am betting that you had a pretty nice career despite all that US Airways has gone through.

The real irony is that Brookman is one of the three that held the MEC hostage on the company's proposal that ultimately caused us to be saddled with LOA93. THEN, he turned around and blamed it on the pilot group because we had no guts when it came to the vote. ALL the advisors warned them that it got worse from there (the company's proposal). Sound familiar?? It was sickening to sit there and watch that MEC meeting get highjacked. But it wasn't the first, or the last time.

"Hilarious" wouldn't be my first choice of descriptions. Tragic is more like it. I've been watching this self defeating BS since 1989. ALPA, USAPA, IBT...put any brand on it you like...still the same BS.

After reading your post I would agree "hilarious" is the wrong word. How does Brookman even go to work after these kinds of revelations? Don't you guys scorn him? The dude is an idiot and his testimony single handedly punched your arbitration case.

Really??

I did not make captain between 85-90, and I am considerably higher than the top 50%.

I totally agree that we should be striving for the bottom 50% to get upgrades and a 30-40% raise. The difference between east twisted logic and mine is, we should get the bottom 50% a 30% raise prior to their upgrade, not because of it. Then when the upgrade comes all the better.

unfortunately there is no chance of a 30 % straight up raise.
