US Pilots Labor Discussion

....former PIT ALPA LEC Captain Rep John Brookman. John was the author of one of US Airways' LOA 93 greivance major exhibits, which I believe certainly impacted Arbitrator Kasher's decision. Click to read John's ALPA Council 94 letter with his recommendation the PIT pilots vote "no" on LOA 93 because the agreement contained "no snap backs."............

You keep bringing this up so I will say again - his statement said no snapbacks till 2010. Then another 2years for contract improvements. The company lawyer cut him off there at "no snapbacks" and USAPA's lawyer failed to follow up.

It was all $eham's (SSMP) fault that Kasher didn't restore the east wages. If only USAPA had some better lawyers everything would be coming up roses for the east. I guess $7m doesn't go very far when you are spread out through multiple federal courts and federal mediators. It couldn't possibly be that the Company legal department knows how to read contracts and the RLA better than anyone at USAPA. Now who was it that secured the win on LOA 93 for the Company? Was his name Robert Siegel? Remind me now, is Robert Siegel involved with in other legal proceedings against USAPA?

Most rumor is garbage. That doesn't stop most of us on both sides from engaging in spreading it, both here and at work.

I do so rarely, but seems like a slow news week.

Mea Culpa

Here's one: UAL + JetBlue + (new carrier out of El Paso) International Texan. New call sign: U-BLU_IT

Ho! Ho! Ho!

And that one little thing blew it for you, right?

And what about Tracey's warning that this was a loser to start with?

And what about the fact that USAPA brought in ZERO neg notes to support their arguments? Maybe that was a big part of the loss. Don't you think?

2012 is starting off with a little spice! You go girls!

USAPA Legal Update

We have learned that some pilots may have received an email from angrypilots@gmail.com that urges pilots to delay arrivals, slow taxi, and take other actions that violate the injunction issued by the United States District Court. The message was not authorized by USAPA and USAPA completely disavows this and any similar message. Pilots are reminded that the injunction remains in effect and continues to prohibit each pilot from engaging in any slowdown, strike, work stoppage, sick-out, work to rule campaign, or any other concerted refusal to perform normal pilot operations in violation of the RLA. The injunction also prohibits any pilot from urging any other pilot to engage in any of these prohibited activities. We further remind each pilot that he or she is individually bound by the injunction and subject to contempt proceedings for any violation. The injunction does not diminish or interfere with the duty of a pilot in command to insure the safety of his or her passengers and equipment, but safety concerns may not be used as an excuse to engage in any slowdown or other concerted refusal to perform normal pilot operations.

Don't get so upset, LOA 93 had nothing to do with your pay. Breath....move on....

Slow news week? Why you guys are starting a new job action in violation of the injunction. That's not too shabby.

How is it you think im upset when all I do is laugh at you guys?

So please, calm down. Take some time off like Pi does.

Aw, do you miss me? You've kinda run everyone off, haven't you? Mission accomplished.

There is nothing. I'm awaiting April when it will all be over and our new contract will be in place.

The truth has a habit of running off those who fear it.

And yes I miss you. You complete me.

I hope you don't wait until April to say hi again.

 You're kidding, right?

No. How many times has it been said on here that it would be over in April? Just waiting on the good judge. I have the posts copied if you want them. 🙂

I'm in AVL today, kinda cool and gloomy. I don't think you would really like it this time of year, better stay out there.

You love the truth. The truth you make up in your head. What's the term for that?

I know you are needy, I won't make you wait.
