I usapa was not so busy chasing BS pay restoration grievences that the grievence chair said they would lose but filed anyway, and if the safety committee was not being hijacked to further the usapa seniority theft operation. Then, maybe these two would have never lost their jobs or a deal could have already been worked.
usapa should have just went to the company, said "how about these guys get a month off without pay, time served, and they promise to never do it again"? The company probably would have been okay with that, even after they wrote a letter in the read file warning everybody what non-compliance with DL would mean.
The West just resolved a situation without even getting the grievence process involved.
The case of these two should have been a no brainer, but frankly, if they did it intentionally in support of a usapa work action,,,I say good riddance.
