He was in a communications position with ALPA and influenced a lot of people, including me. I trusted his opinion because he claimed to have an inside track and that the merger with United was a done deal. How many times did you hear that, Dan? "It's a done deal"?

It was just another screwing by an ALPA committee member who was high on "being a cub reporter" instead of representing the pilots at USAirways. What is really sick is that you don't even see it.

At some point the East anti-USAPA, 3rd lister, and USAPA's PHX-based pilots will control the union. And, I understand there are some interesting developments that could accelerate a union change of control from Mike Cleary to the East anti-USAPA, 3rd lister, and USAPA's PHX-based coalition. A lot of the East "anti USAPA" guys are dealing with Section 29 letters now, others like yourself have finally joined as members. It is a pitiful bunch, a few that don't even realize their employment here is ending in less than a year. Sad but funny in a way..they just don't get the fact you have to pay your fees on time.

USAPA's PHX-based coalition? You have to be kidding. Don't confuse voting on the office location as a coalition. Your politics are atrocious.

There is no "acceleration" on the change of control at USAPA, Officer elections open soon. Drama, of course....accelerated process, nope.

I believe the court will order US Airways and USAPA to implement to Nicolau Award. Therefore, US Airways will make this a Section 22 requirement. Then in a couple of years the majority of pilots will rule (the East- anti-USAPA pilots, the 3rd listers, & USAPA's PHX-based pilots), which is the foundation of USAPA...majority rules.

I am really surprised that you (being so careful to always be so respectful) would take the liberty to abbreviate my screen name. My screen name has nothing to do with the city or the airport. Don't stress about it. I am not offended. Your incorrect assumption was only natural seeing that this is an aviation board.

Personally I would never approach pilots on the third list with the intention of persuading them to join me in forming a coalition to push the union according to my hopes. If they asked me what I think, I think they should actually enjoy flying and whenever there is a vote, vote exactly how they want to.. nothing more. I know its really hard for those who have been steeped in the ALPA MO which assumes the average pilot isn't smart enough to vote their own ballot without having someone hold their hand.
