US Pilots Labor Discussion

Now Lilttle Breezy, when you read something on the internet you have to go ask mommy if it's true or not, OK? And remember, no insider trading. Can you spell ethics?

Big talk for someone who wasn't there. Truely trying to fabricate a lie on your part. Where were you at this time? Off at your own little regional airline with no clue as to what was going on in the real world.....yeah, you don't have a clue. You had no idea of what was going on in my world at this timeframe.

I couldn't care less what you do. Aside from the fact that, (as per normal) the East is dragging down the entire industry. Same story for the last decade.  Whatever you do....at all costs.....FIGHT!!!!

Yep....and you know what, it's worth it. We will not give up our seniority.....especially to such junior pukes with your entitlement attitudes.

Your most junior pilot had 17.25 years of service, NOT MY G.D. PROBLEM! Yep the last most reserve F.O. You can imagine....17.25 years. Sounds to me like he was fortunate to have any income at all. You keep stomping all over your junk waiting for your new savior,(it changes every week) are you willing to be honest about something? When you say "junior puke" , what you REALLY mean is "pilots younger than me". Right? It's crystal clear.

You will always be junior to me, and I have no questions about your "skill set." You are a known quantity to many of us.

Ah yes, the day trading guy "above us all" who does not really need the job.... but somehow still does.

RR

I don't know how you did it but you and breeze actually got he who shall not be named to engage. Normally he will just post and run. Kudos!

PHX,

I believe the court will order US Airways and USAPA to implement to Nicolau Award. Therefore, US Airways will make this a Section 22 requirement. Then in a couple of years the majority of pilots will rule (the East- anti-USAPA pilots, the 3rd listers, & USAPA's PHX-based pilots), which is the foundation of USAPA...majority rules.

Chip, that is exaclty how this will play out. The AFO's have an empty cause, a selfish battlecry and they are running out of support. It takes a while to exterminate pests, the pest control guy always wins!

RR,

How about letting me know if you're gonna be on the highways or byways around Guilford County. Since you never voted for traffic laws I suspect you feel no need to abide by them either so I want to stay safely home when you're in town. Come to think of it, you never voted for the laws against murder, rape, or theft....I better get a gun too. Gotta defend the family ya know - nothing personal...

Jim

HA HA HA

All- time best post around here. Too funny!!!

And if ifs and buts were cherries we would all have a Merry Christmas. New hires on the East voting to allow the instant placement of 1700 pilots in front of them?..not going to happen. And as to that “1700” pilot number, only 1100 or so have, and will ever have, a “say.”

Best case USAPA wins the ability to negotiate freely this spring, with no restrictions. Worst case about 3 years from now, about the time you will be bypassing your Widebody bid to “allow” someone much less fortunate to take it, we will be back at the table.

RR

Reed, you can't figure out your own inconsistent arguments!

Reread the bolded statement above, dude and think about this: Whether it is a DOH list or a relative seniority list, a voting in a new contract with either WILL STILL PLACE 1700 PILOTS ABOVE THE 3RD LIST PILOTS! So, please explain again your "logic" behind that bolded statement of yours...

You and Chip...frick and frack. Exactly. If he told me the sun was shining, I'd have to look outside.

LOL!!!

Dude! (Dudette?) You are having an argument with yourself, I agree with the fact all AWA pilots go ahead of "3rd listers." That is exactly my point.

If I am the first of 500 pilots hired on the East, starting today....what would be my motivation for wanting the merger to happen? If no merger of the pilot group occurs, I climb the ladder out east, where attrition gets me a nice block in the right seat in a few years. If I vote "yes" on a new contract, I still climb the ladder....but have 1700 pilots in front of me. Of course lots of new airplanes show up to mitigate that, but movement up the list out East vs. movement up a combined list are not the same. Maybe you can get the "salamander" to show you. As a new hire, enough moneys might make me vote for a new contract, but as we have seen, those offers are not showing up!

I just don't buy the logic that "new hire" pilots out East will increase the chance of a joint contract with the NIC or anything else. If there was any reason for someone to want to come to work here (and there are few) it would be the attrition out East over the next 7 years. The attrition is still there in a combined list, just not as dramatic for a new hire as it would be in a standalone East list.

You may believe whatever you want, however the fact remains regardless of which seniority integration is used (legal or USAPA's illegal) all the west pilots are going to be on top of the 3rd listers. For the third listers to enjoy upgrades to the left seat it will take about 10 to 15 years for the current bottom guy to see the left seat- all the while on LOA 93 rates. Given inflation at 2-3% a year these guys will need food stamps to live on left seat pay. Hardly likely. You're desperate, Reed, and the above argument shows how much. Fortunately, most of the third listers are upstanding individuals (like Andy) and recognize unethical motivations. Your support continues to dwindle...

Are you sure it's going to take even 10 years? In 10 years nearly 2200 East pilots are retired with age 65 alone........

Au contraire Res. It is your problem. Because that 17.25 year guy thinks he is entitled to your job.

PS. When he says "junior puke" what he is really saying is..."I cannot believe these America West pilots think that just because they had a better posittion at a better airline, with more pay and a better contract, that somehow means I am not entitled to their job".
