US Pilots Labor Discussion

So does LOA 93...

Most of us that are being realistic do not expect anything different before retirement. We have NO leverage to wring a contract out of the hands of the company. NONE. It is money they do not HAVE to spend.

You're right, now what?

Stalemate continues...

Until AMR merger. USAPA agrees to all 777 time to AA for 20 years, they keep all their 76 flying and 75 for 15 years. DOH agreed on. No Nicolau. Western is not going to like this, but reality sux sometimes. This is what happens when you hang on to a stupid dream too long. AA will agree because the junior western headed off at the pass, and the eastern old timers leave on their own accord. This, is the end of the stalemate. It will happen. Lenidas is just a distant and costly memory.

Au contraire Res. It is your problem. Because that 17.25 year guy thinks he is entitled to your job.

PS. When he says "junior puke" what he is really saying is..."I cannot believe these America West pilots think that just because they had a better posittion at a better airline, with more pay and a better contract, that somehow means I am not entitled to their job".

Franke Air was a skank outfit for decades. You merely had a half baked contract for a few years, then reverted back to bottom dweller status with eastern you help put there. You are trapped in this hellish situation forever, and then American will seal the deal for decades.

Pay your dues through years of service. Move up on your own attrition.

Don't need to move up. Already paid the dues and I am sitting closer to the top of the list.

So, how about you move up on the combined attrition, and maybe in 5 or 10 years you catch up to my position, instead of the usapa plan of stealing my position, giving it to you, and letting me move back up on your attrition?

Agree wouldn't be realistic.

American is in bankruptcy and has well over 1,600 pilots on furlough. All the employees there are standing by for pension losses, wage cuts, and work rule revisions to increase productivity and reduce vacation time.

United and Delta already went through their bankruptcy and together have over 1,700 pilots on furlough.

I'm all for shaking the terrible towel like any good PIT fan to show our solidarity to getting a pay raise, but frankly I don't expect any pay raises before most of us retire, and considering the current realities and our past experiences, that ain't much to complain about.

Holy crap that was stupid.

My point exactly.
The merger brought no new attrition so relative seniority should remain somewhat even.
The number one pilot on the west dropped a significant amount but this was justified because of the additional wide body flying the east had.
The bottom east F/O should not see his/her relative seniority change. It seems that overall the nic was correct.

Unlike you, no LCC pilot is trapped. Every pilot here has at the very least has attained their goal of flying for a major airline.

The large majority of us have made captain at a major airline.

It must really suck to be a dweeb failure such as yourself who did not have the intestinal fortitude to stick it out and dropped out of the game.
