If as you say ALPA does not have a difinitive merger policy. Could you explain the difference between ALPA merger policy and A/M merger policy?

Is A/M merger policy a definitive merger policy?

A/M doesn't have insurance.

CB,
Stop and consider HIS will before you attempt to use HIS words in your defense. Do you really think anything positive can come from Christian brothers debating with His sacred words ? Your ever prolific nonbeliever would have a field day!

FA
Quite possibly, yes. "As iron sharpeneth iron..." Proverbs something:something on the other hand, I remember vaguely some admonition about pearls and swine. All things considered... Maybe a moot point.

Matthew 5:37 - But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these comes from evil.

To answer the question: Perhaps. It depends upon the brothers following HIS word. I am doing my utmost to do so (although I get frustrated with what seems to be a very simple path). IMHO.

Move makes his/her salient points, and I will make mine. He/she is entitled to his/her opinion regarding post content, as do you and I.

Not really. For me it is 11 months and 4 days. I can do that standing on my head in a swimming pool.

Cool. One more year of you donating $50,000 per year to US Airways in the form of LOA 93. I bet you could have used an extra quarter of a million dollars when you retire. Oh well. Thanks for the extra profit sharing!

Maybe the easties should consider "Tebowing". New survey out today says 43.3 percent of Americans think that God is helping Tim Tebow win football games.

All west folk,

Many many replies here suggest in the future the majority will be comprised mostly of 3rd listers, alpa loyalist and westies.
If that comes to fruition, then will it be safe to assume likely 3 groups will say " hey, majority rules " ?
Will not the same above argument then be valid for East?
Yes or no answers will suffice!

FA

If we try and f you over, then yes.

Otherwise NO.

WWJD?

Chapter 11 is not the same as reneging on your binding arbitration, you know that. The reason the east reneged is because they didn't get what they wanted in arbitration. But, that is part of the risk you take going into arbitration. Honorable people understand the risk and live up to it.

The east has no honor, that has been shown again and again and again.
Chapter 11 is reneging to everyone, your right it aint the same! It's a shame I guess you weren't the top notch manager that needed to be retained!

Usapa will be replaced by what? I doubt that alpo could get 50%. What is your alternative?
I would have agreed 6 months ago. While I would prefer to see a congress of west pilots and those on the east who see the futility of continuing on USAPA's path, I think that USAPA has allowed Cleary to destroy any credibility they may have had with their supporters and enough of the east would go back to the brand-name union to carry it - complaining, but knowing it is probably the best alternative.

I admire Cactusboy53's diligence, but USAPA cannot be fixed regardless of how many resolutions are proffered. Go to a clean sheet or go back to ALPA, but don't believe that USAPA can be restored with a quick fix.

Any word on the house cleaning in CLT? Were they expected or unexpected? And how come the change now? This is in regards to the CP office.....rumors flying yesterday

Again, you deflect. Chapter 11 has nothing to do with it, you made the assertion.

So, back to the topic, agreeing to binding arbitration, then forming a sham union to get out of an agreement. Bad policy, desperate act of desperate people without honor. And what has the east gained from all this? Nothing.

As for personal attacks, come on, you got sent to the cornfield last time, learn from that. I left when I found another job that paid much more and allowed me to learn new skills. Unlike pilots in a union job, the rest of the real world has to constantly learn and improve and perform, they aren't just some seniority number. You should try it some time.

Here's an interesting question: If US Airways Pilots went back to ALPA, does the Permanent Injunction still apply or is it the Lee Seham argument of "it wasn't us"?

The Permanent Injunction is not only against the union...it is against every US Airways pilot. Therefore, if the pilot group returned to ALPA the injunction would stand until ALPA and US Airways reach an agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement or the National Mediation Board releases the parties from mediation.

A release seems unlikely since USAPA recently told the pilots following the mediated negotiation session is scheduled for the week of January 23, 2012 that "further NMB mediated sessions for subsequent months appear to be unlikely."
