US Pilots Labor Discussion

OK, I found it....it says "nothing in writing"

So what is your point? There is no factual evidence of a 7-10 % raise.

My point is that you kids have drank all the whiskey out of your moral compass. Judge is on her way with a refill. Have a great night. Who needs integrity when you have numbers on your side, and little else.

Why not try to explain how Hummel will do anything different than Cleary and then justify collecting dues to do nothing.

And how will the West ticket do anything other? They promised an industry LEADING contract with the nic and got 1106 votes with 1100 West migs?

That is pretty weak.
Only because it doesn't fit your theory. I have no idea what a "split in the North/South MECs" has to do with the informal discussion in 2007 - there weren't North/South MECs then. Perhaps grasping at straws...

It's all about integrity. Again, I will not vote on any contract that allows a 15 yr windfall to any pilot. East, West, North, or South.....it's just worng.

We have a long road ahead of us and I am willing to retire on LOA93 just on the integrity and principle involved.

Unless it gets you and most of the easties a big raise, like a LOS pay scale...

My apologies - that was pullup.

Integrity? Like not living up to the binding agreement you made? What part of binding don't you get?

You easties caused all this mess, and its funny that you are the ones suffering the most from it.

What's just "wrong" is making a Reserve F/O senior to a Captain on the same airplane.

It's also wrong to spell the word "wrong" wrong.

I am just trying to understand your attitude. Did you retire before BK1, BK2, or before the merger....before the NIC, etc...?

I might be more agreeable to your attitude if I understood why you hate the East pilots group so much. Not trying to be aggressive here, just trying to understand.

breeze

He doesn't hate east pilots. (If I can be so bold as to speak for another.) I think that he just doesn't think that you (pl) have any integrity. I agree.

Ok, that's your opinion....then I will go to my grave believing this is totally wrong and will never vote to ratify a contract.....because it is wrong, period.

Now, answer the questions that I asked, or you can just hide the truth like ALPA did. A lowlife snake type of existence.....but lower than ALPA because you also turned your back on your breathern in the East.....for some warped reason.

breeze

A lowlife snake type of existence.....???? Look in the mirror, amigo.

From our ol' pal the Brown Breeze...
I thought that you retired a little later on when we had adopted CRM and the cockpit became an environment of trust and taking care of each other......you know, what happens in the cockpit, stays in the cockpit.

What airline do you work for? "What happens in the cockpit..." Ever heard of FOQA? AIRMAN? I shouldn't have to explain it to you, but CRM is not about taking care of each other. CRM is about alerting a fellow pilot that they are making a decision chain that ends with a USA Today front page. CRM is about breaking that chain before that happens. Do they do any recurrent training out east, or do they just "take care of each other, you know..."?

Maybe you were one of the old iron fisted assholes that everyone hated and would not fly with because you had no skills when it came to working with and trusting another pilot. You probably scared the hell out of a lot of fine people over the years.

But I digress.....just from your attitude on these boards, I sure am happy that I never had to fly with you. Trust, integrity, my ass.

breeze

That's the old Blue Pill Breeze we've come to know. Now switch back to the red and become the soft spoken and all-so-understanding Breeze. For 10 minutes at least.

I do believe Bipolar is a medical disqualification. Better get that checked out.

The first step will be to stop the endless fear mongering that is only used to keep weak leaders in power. West leadership is all about rebuilding unity on a solid foundation, not merely renting someone's loyalty by promising them something they know cannot be delivered. And with that unity, the pilots can negotiate an industry leading contract. I am not convinced the first one will be industry leading, nor should anyone expect that USAPA's salted earth policies will wash away immediately.

But only Ferguson and Koontz have committed to altering the course of labor relations towards a productive future for ALL US pilots.

Just how many times MUST you be schooled? The Kirby proposal was (still is on the table), and remained ostensibly the AWA contract with a 3% increase in wages for the AWA pilots (an thus much more for easties).....FURTHER, IN COURT it was TESTIFIED that the end contract would most likely be the KP + 7-8% (for a TOTAL of 11% increase for AWA pilots). Just how is that (FOUR YEARS AGO SLICK) a CONCESSIONARY contract from what you NOW FLY under?? Do you need a calculator? This isn't even FUZZY MATH.

Now, I'm not saying that we would have ratified said agreement, BUT don't you think it's kind of STUPID to have thrown away all that $$$$$$ on a paper chase that has garnered only DELAY?

Coversely, USAPA is WAY past the promised contract w/i 90 days, six months, whatever. The NAC has two members (FULL FLIGHT PAY LOSS & AREN'T WE "PARKED") now that were BOTH on FURLOUGH at the time of the acquisition. The NAC is further AWAY from a contract NOW, than ALPA was in mid-2007!

You can't fix stupid.
Money is only one part of a contract. The money in Kirby isn't that good and the work rules take a beating. Employment protections evaporate, and furloughs would surely have resulted from it.
All in all, concessionary.
Duh.
