Just what were we supposed to listen to? Something along the lines of the following?: "Hey, Rookie, I'm a senior east pilot. Years ago I made lots of money while you were making squat. You AWA guys are such losers for working for such low wages and we legacy pilots are utterly disgusted with you.
Although my company wrote the book on bankruptcy and were very successful at chipping away at my pay and benefits I do feel entitled to regain what I have lost. Being a Rookie you are much younger than me and I feel that you should not get in the way of my need to be made whole. You have more time to recover.
Perhaps we can overlook the fact that you AWA guys played by the rules in integrating our seniority lists because I just don't like the arbitrator's decision. It does not allow me to be made whole in the limited time I have left. You may think their hearts are in the right place but their heads are stuck up their back side.If you want to talk about respect, unity, and brotherhood......you know, taking care of your own, that you have worked with for 25+ years, go talk to the senior East Captains who really have no dog in this fight, so to speak. Those guys have stood by their brothers and sisters from day 1 instead of selling us out. Why? Because it was the right thing to do.

Even at $125+ PBGC of $28.8, we are looking at a minimum of $153.8, and that is on the A320......where does that number go for the guys that are moving to 76/A330 Cpt?
