US Pilots Labor Discussion

LS,

It is unfortunate that Cleary and his crew hijacked our new union......IMHO, that is where a lot of the problem lies. I agree that things should have been handled a lot differently and think that different USAPA leadership would have had a different outcome. I think Hummel will be a more fair leader and I really hope to see things change.

I heard that line of thinking when Cleary was elected.

New beginning. New hope.

Ends up same o same o.

Why should length of service as a furloughed pilot have more consideration over an actively flying pilot? We will be in court again to determine what is owed to pilots who were disadvantaged by pilots who refuse to abide by a process they agreed to participate. Why was I not surprised to see there has been a challenge to the election? Your pilot group wants do over after do over.

That is the reason USAPA always stuck in neutral and hopelessly dysfunctional.

Don't fall for these scabs BS Cheats.

They don't give a rats a$$ abouyt LOS. They want to put east furloughed pilots with much less LOS ahead of active West pilots who had more LOS.

It is not about DOH or LOS, it is about the east scabs stealing West jobs to benefit themselves at our expense. They think because they were hired at AA or one of the carriers that were unfortunate enough to be purchased by AA, that it gives them priority over a pilot from AWA. (complete lack of situational awareness, they do not even understand that AWA flat out bought their bankrupt carrier and they had no job absent AWA)

Yes BP 116/64 this morning. Resting heart rate of 45. Healthy diet and lots of exercise are all one needs. We have no control over WHEN the nic award gets used just the fact that at some point it WILL. What's the "win"? getting attached to your sinking sh*t airline? Thanks. I pray daily that the West gets sold off and we rid ourselves of you miserable scabs...but alas, those are the cards we were dealt. The law is on our side. That's all we need. You guys can twist in the wind with the knowledge that most Legacy carriers FO's make more than your captains.

Finally, something I can agree with you on! I sincerely hope your prayers are answered.

I wonder how the pilot selection process was over there before the acquisition? They seem to be cut from the same thread. I wonder if there was a testing process for applicants? If there was and you were caught cheating you were hired. This is not about USAPA it is about the people who come up with diabolic scheme after diabolic scheme. They tick the same way. Could it be they had years of screwing each other over they think they could pull the wool over our eyes?

Not going to happen. They are not to be trusted.

Hey, here's a topic we haven't discussed in several months and - given the continuing cordial exchanges here, who's time it is to bring up once again.

So remind me how we will one day share the same cockpit, excercise good CRM, keep each other out of trouble and in the green?

Can you imagine EastCheats and Iclub, or Move2 and Barrister together on a 4 day trip?

Bet it only lasts 2 days.

You've got west and east flying together already.

And if you don't like flying with me, then adios. Find another Captain.

That's some funny stuff. I can't speak for them but I have managed to stay in the green since 1978. 34 years of incident and accident free flying.

34 years of incident and accident free flying and you got a decade on a 40 yr old???

Did you realize that it is possible to solo an airplane at age 16? I did, so do the math.

by acting like adults and doing the job we're paid to do

You and others have already told us we are not adults. Some have accused us of being far worse than non-adults. And don't get me started on acting our wage.

So back to my original question. Is it safe? Will it be safe? Should it be risked? Will the FAA have nothing to say on the subject? How many "avoid" bids can Catcrew compute without melting down?

EastCheats, good job on staying in the green since '78 (webboard posts excluded of course, where you routinely stray into the red 🙂

Do you honestly think Congress or the FAA will pass new laws/regulations to address commercial pilots who cannot maintain a minimum level of professionalism and safety resulting from a seniority integration? Do you think this law would only be needed if the NIC is included in the JCBA or would it still be necessary if USAPA pulls of a miracle and gets a DOH contract?

The only real question that needs to be asked is: can YOU sit in the cockpit with a west pilot once a JCBA is ratified or enforced via self-help?
