It looks obvious to all the AFO club has abandoned their "DOH is like a crewmeal" ideas and are retreating to the mantra "we will stay separate and get the growth and the attrition". Time to say good bye to the facilitators' falsehoods (Bratford, et al.) and I welcome the AFOs newer grounding in reality. The only play left for them is delay, delay and delay. So, where it goes nobody knows, but at least there are minimum block hours and we at least have some direction in this matter. No DOH fantasy and absolutely no hope of getting off LOA 93 wages for the next couple of years.
Thanks to all for building a better more financially secure airline- more to inherit in five years.

Sorry I'm not a member of the "AFO club" and they are not "retreating" nor are the Captains.

Just commenting on the continual West rant of enjoying LOA 93 until 2021, "we will stay separate and get the growth and the attrition" as witnessed by yesterday's March 2011 Equipment Bid results posting.

I wouldn't count on "inherit" ing this airline "in five years" and it being a "more financially secure airline".......

You know, it's funny. Just before reading your post I was starting to think exactly the same thing. There is so much talk about the (supposed) attrition train leaving the station, the LOA93 pay restoration, and separate ops. They're even hoping Parker will split the airline again, and one poster does nothing but post links to ancient history thinking others will lose focus on what a J.A. he really is. Sounds like delay is their only remaining tactic, and the reality of not escaping binding arbitration or the Nic list is setting in. Finally a step in the right direction. One baby step closer to reality is better than none at all.

BTW, prechilill... expect a whole bunch of DOH talk all of sudden to now that the secret is out, as they will try desperately to put the cat back in the bag. Lot's of tough talk to follow...

I've noticed that you post for about five days once a month. Try and post with cogent thoughts in between those periods of time shall we? Dude??

The bid was great, and many more to come. No frustration for me or many of my friends here.
Our raises will come with quick upgrades as a separate list...
Many new east 190 capts.. many new FO's to 767 FO.. good stuff.that's why a snapshot at the worst possible time in a career is not a fair system.

The only thing that sucks worse than that dude, is the complete inability to realize you've been sold a huge pile of Horse S*** . Bro, Back in 2004, when I was a new hire at Mesa, I was told I'd upgrade in 10 months...DUDE, it took me 13 months!!!.

Judge Silver has no choice to dismiss the Declaratory judgment. The district court has no choice since the 9th ruling.
 
Well, look at it from this angle. If the above plays out finally in say 5 years from now, the East will have lost over 1000 pilots, almost half. It appears as if we are in the upward movement mode again in the East. Last one was earlier this decade. So the East enjoys a steady move up over the next 5 years and recaptures what was lost over the last decade. Sure there will be po"d players again.

UMMM! It must be that new east coast usapa math. The east has 3400 active pilots plus another 500 LTD ect. You had better check that usapa math. 1000 out of 3900 is not half.

It will be 2017 until the east retires 1000 pilot not 5 years. It will be 2030 before you get 3200 off the property.

How many of those 1000 will be coming out of the right seat? That is what you guys are complaining about right that you will retire as F/O's.

You really think that in 5 years you are going to recover the last 15 years of losses at LOA 93 wages. You really do need help with your math.

That's a great question my main man. You see, the 24/7 role is for a few easties we see here, one of which who has been reincarnated about seven times over the last five years. Anger is a extremely volatile fuel and we can see it here every day, so the trick is to stay out of the fray and enjoy the bouncing heads banging into the walls from a safe distance. After a period of time we usually see a gradual retreat from the preposterous claims from the drunken uSAP honeymooners- now with the company DJ left hook to Cleary we see AFOs have redrawn their retreating lines a little closer to home. Delay delay delay, is the cry! The fat guy in the phoenix road show equating crew meals to seniority is, well, finished- kaput- over. So now's the time to jump my man! And here we are today- just a couple weeks away from St. Nic!!!
 
The Nic award may have been a disappointment of major proportions to the east pilots but what destroyed ANY unity between east and west was the east's inability to take that disappointment like men and move on with a final and binding decision. That dishonorable action in itself was the cause of the tremendous disrepect that the west has for the east.

You agreed to the process. You were bound to the result. You threw a tantrum. Who wants to be united with that baby?
Let me ask you a question Ames. If you were in a court battle, and appeared to have lost your case -then, one of your attorneys finds a LEGAL loophole to win you an appeal, which you can win with the loophole. Would you take the loophole and take the victory, or would you take the loss? ALL LEGAL. What would you do????

Dude? Sir, can you grasp what a caveman aura you emanate, when you use dude. Yes you were a mesa pilot, awa320 was a trans states pilots a few years ago. TA was hired when america west airlines flew drugs and crossed picket lines. JM, your former alpa mec leader told Parker in a meeting that he claimed he observed the East pilots taxing with both engines running and the apu. Oh yes, we are all impressed.
