US Pilots Labor Discussion

Well actually you will truly have to hide your disappointment, when the narcissism table only has 2 chairs and your apple juice and cake resemble a celebration for JANE FONDA at a vietnam vets convention! MM!

I'm sure one of those chairs will be occupied by you and the other by the Narcissistic Bipolar President of USAPA.

Yes, it appears that the "summer help" will be headed back to reserve until next year.

How many times does the word DECREASE appear on that bid?

East pilots are familiar with the post summer Transatlantic drawdown as an annual occurrence. So while not welcome news, it is not unexpected.

It would be nice to see some real growth at USAirways. Airlines like Jet Blue and Virgin continue to grow while Airways plods along at minimum fleet count. If we can't compete at LOA93 wages and ancilliary revenues, the future is grim.

Those of you that are counting on Age 65 attrtition as your vehicle to Turbo Growth are going to be unhappy I fear.

Where would you have us grow PS? It is my understanding that Virgin is severely underwater as far as operating margins and if it were not for Richard Branson they would have been out of business already. Have you seen their pay rates? Jetblue doesn't have any additional airframes on the way for a couple of years. The big 3 airlines are shrinking between 3% and 5% in the 4th quarter this year. Our domestic capacity will be down 1% in the 4th quarter. Doug can't pull down more than that or he would. Age 65 attrition is all that anyone at ANY major airline has. No US airline is growing now. Read the papers. The future isn't anymore grim in the airline industry than it is in any other American Industry. Having a good career as an airline pilot depends on when you get hired. It's a crap shoot. For most of our pilots on the property now, Airline pilot has been a great job.....but it's been a crappy career. I get a kick out of the Debbie Downers that predict doom and gloom. I've seen the doom and gloom predictions for the last 22 years. While things may not be as great as they used to be, they aren't as dire as they used to be either.

ual alpa update June 15, 2011

"""The company announced last Friday that Integration Training Phase 1 is on the United Learning Network (ULN) on Skynet. The company also imposed a July 8 deadline to complete this training.

Let me be clear. ALPA has not endorsed this program or any other training program concerning changes associated with the Single Operating Certificate (SOC). The MEC objects to the concept of training by bulletin and this has been clearly expressed to management.

Under the company’s proposed Integration Training Plan, there was an introductory phase which is now followed by Phases 1 through 4. According to the company, Phases 1 through 4 each last about one hour and will be paid at the rate of one hour for each of these four phases, for a cumulative total of four hours of pay. We believe that this training program and the time allotted are insufficient and inadequate to cover the multitude of changes which we will be responsible for and does not rise to the standard of training that has resulted in United’s unsurpassed safety record.

We have been engaged with the company at various levels with our safety experts, but as the company-imposed deadline approached for rolling out this program, our input and concerns have been pushed aside and the program steamed forward. We strongly believe it is more important to “get it right” rather than potentially compromise safety to meet a deadline.

We will continue to attempt to resolve our differences with the company on this vital safety program. We would ask that since the announced deadline to complete this phase of training is July 8, you allow the MEC and its officers the necessary time to right this ship.

As frustrating as these times are, it is absolutely paramount that we continue to conduct ourselves in the utmost professional manner so as to retain all of our legal rights afforded to us under the Railway Labor Act. Actions to the contrary may be harmful and counterproductive in the end game. If you have questions or require further information, please speak to your Council Officers.

In closing, challenging and difficult times such as these demand the most from us professionally and personally. Our cause is just and righteous, we have only to seek the counsel expressed by the very motto of the Air Line Pilots Association, a union founded 80 years ago by a United pilot, Captain Dave Behncke, when he stated; “Schedule with Safety.” This is not just a motto, but a moral obligation, one that we owe collectively and individually to our fellow crew members, our passengers, our families and ourselves.

Fraternally,

Captain Wendy Morse

Chairman, United Master Executive Council"""

Today, another pilot escorted off a flight because she did not want to take a 330 overseas without an APU. It's getting very ugly the company has lost all control. All for BS stuff.
Thanks, good for you guys.

USAPA = A law firm's best friend. Don't worry kid, this will be done in a couple of years. You will be looked upon as the stain that AAA was. The level of entitlement and hubris really is astounding.

And, you guys are paying both side of the table. Talk about clowns...And half way to say, a 10 year fence...And 2 Mil richer...And, neve mind...

P.S. hey, Pre aka Tuts...how is that CLT bid coming ?

The following are two of the latest video's posted by an america west pilot. This person, that is in dire need for anger management, is flying an airplane for Doug Parker, ceo.

Us airways original qualified major airline pilots of the east, Sully's original airline, are embarrassed by the conduct and accusations of this former america west pilot as they attempt to run a safe airline. There is a reason why this pilot was never hired by a real major airline, he was hired by america west originally. It will be obvious after you watch.

I will re post the video's on Sunday morning. I will also post another video, that shows what he thinks of a female pilot that is older than him. It was quite a vicious attack on a mature female airline pilot trying to help all Us airways pilots. Making fun of an older female pilots age, is a cowardly act.

There are two video's to watch. I swear I can hear banjo music in the background from the movie deliverance when I watch them, IMHO. Look at the eyes of this pilot, he should not be in front of an airplane, while you are riding in back.

Tune in Sunday morning for more.

america west captain, to find out why he was never hired by a real airline, click here.

I am just thinking aloud.

There is an important legal case being handled by a mature female judge. I do not think she would appreciate the attitude of some of the america west pilots and the companies allowance of such conduct, regarding older workers, including females. Of course being a judge she would be impartial to such outside information that does not directly involve facts in the current litigation. Anyways, how would she ever find out.

Oh........., I have to go now, I love to share information.

There is an important legal case being handled by a female judge. If she is a music fan, she can learn that Eric can actually play the banjo and sing, while Seeham looks like a putz playing that guitar, oh and his voice is terrible. Of course being a judge she would be impartial to learning misinformation from a '99 hire maggot, might even hold it against the maggot's union for trying to coerce opinion.

Thanks for the link there maggot....I about fell off my chair seeing that stupid look on Seeham's face while singing....and I have actually watched his whole video before....he ain't as bad as I am making him out to be, but taken out of the context of the entire song he looks like a moron. Kind of like usapa and their quotes from the 9th.

There is a current identity theft litigation case going on right now. Speaking of Eric, I heard he is singing like a bird now. More facts to follow soon.

Best of luck to you sir.

Yep, that's the ticket. Allow Doug to reap the benefits of lower labor cost through bonuses. VERY astute.
