Oh I could play well enough. "Hard" ball that is. Couldn't quite get the knack of the "soft" stuff.

Seniority



Seniority is handled in section 6 negotiations. I was part of the first section 6 negotiations at AWA. When the subject of DOH came up, the company said no way and the other 5 in negotiations voted to move on and forget about DOH. I can't speak for what has happened out east over the years. What more can I say, we were there to integrate the seniority lists that were already in place. Find anyone familiar with section 6 negotiations to dispute me. I think a lot of you out east got f**ked with your seniority. I will also say that a lot of people out east don't want to mess with the seniority. Don't kill the messenger, I agree with DOH.

P Rez......I'm not trying to nail you to the wall.....Nothing personal against you at all brother.....I don't want to see the West guys lose out on any seniority......I just want the East guys to get 100% credit for part-time service, like the West is getting.

I hear you loud and clear. I have been on record since we voted in the TWU in 1999 as being in favor of DOH(PERIOD).

I have been told the new attendance policy of US will be 1/2 pt for late, 1 pt for sick, 3 pts for No Show. 3 pts level 1, 6 pts level 2, 9 pts level 3, 10 pts termination. Will take effect Nov 3rd. All employees in LAS will be called in Nov 3-15 and be given instructions individually on the new attendance policy. This will be based on a year rolling window.

I find it interesting it take effect the same day full integration happens.

Exactly who explained it to you that you weren't there to change what the Unions did in the past with seniority, but to integrate the 2 groups together with their seniority as it stood. And what was their reasoning behind it?
