A quick read and I see what your saying. I don't believe Randy's intention was to have CLP under a B scale. If there was a language oversight, then a LOA should take care of it. Randy will be contacted.
Its like I said too many gray areas. How many other LOAs are going to come out after our vote?

With the 60 day furlough out Freedom there will be many senior employees just waiting to come back and then with a possible merger....you may be the first on the street. 18 cities will be gone (not that anyone cares as I have been reading) and UA will be running those stations with our people out on the street.

Didn't something simular happen to some of our cities that are now west cities?

something to make you go HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM,

I know the T/A PROTECTS the 18 class II cities until 2011 but what about ALL the other class II cities.

correct me if I am wrong but can't the company decide to reduce or close ALL the other class II cities that aren't listed.

I see a little smoke and mirrors going on here . Getting people thinking that they will protect certain cities but then

come in from the back door and kick to the curb the cities not protected.

Tim,
whats your take on this any merit to my reasoning on this.??

a prime example of this is back in 05 PHX is a class II station . US pulls down flights contracts out the ramp

and low and behold 6 months later through a MERGER , PHX becomes a hub. However the US boys / girls were already

kicked to the curb .

JoeDirt,
Joe, after searching out "Top People" [just joking] I've come to the conclusion that the only way to interpret your question and everyone's question in regards to this contract that is as soft as 'baby doo doo' [ I know yuck but it fits], isn't to analyze, proofread, compare, etc, but to simply render the question with the following expression of the english language.

This contract blows bad. Every yes voter to this day has even admitted this.

My interest in voting no has shifted to the merger. As far as the contract goes, I'm not sure why we are all even talking about it right now. it doesn't matter if the contract paid out $22hr in light of no merger protections and no scope protections. Everyone is compelled to vote No, some just don't know it. I'll be coming out with 'good info'....soon enough.

hope in that INFO , you’ll address what could happen to east workers under the SIXTY day rule….

Will you find some clause that has thus eluded hundreds of east workers who’ve already gotten the boot ? Will you come back with a can of empty promises telling them that we will “negotiate our way out of furloughs ?†or will you perhaps tell the people who end up affected by the 60 day rule that we will fight to make things right for them after their gone, in the next TA?

Will your info explain why only half of our membership is willing to participate in a vote that can determine their future? Will you then go on to explain that even though half of the people who work here don’t care about the TA or union issues , it will be a good idea to strike in 2010 ….

I can’t wait to hear you explain how we will be in a stronger bargaining position around 2010 … you know ,what with the whole us economy just about ready to sputter and collapse , is it only me , or do the prices at the gas pump seem a little high ? Also you know , funny thing here … I went into the supermarket last week , and I could swear that the prices were higher than they were 6 months ago ! OH and get THIS , wow like half the houses on my block are up for sale! What gives eh ?

Hmmm, me not being a rocket scientist and all , it SEEMS like the economy is getting worse …. It also seems like airlines are struggling to make ends meet , and some of them couldn’t aloha , skybus, ATA , frontier is in BK … hmm but what do I know about contract negotiations , I guess the time to really PUSH for everything you want is when the whole world is falling apart …

 i wonder where you get your polling ... mine is leading slightly toward a YES ...

OK , it's your turn NO side , i want you to tell me , how you would go about getting a better contract in today’s environment , i also want you to tell me how your going to protect our brothers and sisters from the sixty day rule if we merge , then i want you to tell me how the scope in this TA is worse than the scope you now have , and finally i want you to tell me how long it's going to take you to get a new TA or contract done ...

(throws gauntlet down )

INDUSTRY STANDARDS WITH MY FELLOW IAM UNION BROTHERS

Ah yes , those same brothers your going to stab in the back via the sixty day rule in the event of a merger?

How very brotherly of you!

You have already admitted that you don't have the backbone to strike. especially since your a big DP fan. my suggestion to you
the union thing hasn't worked out to well. Why don't you go and Kiss up to Dale S . or Mike C and see if they could get you a S/M job

the whole world is falling apart . don't you even read your own post. ?? how much cash did the above carriers have in the bank.

freedom,
You keep spouting off about the 60 day rule . and yet you don't even understand the 3 newly added words Prior to OEI

which renders that language useless..

Effective on Transition date amend CBA as follows:
· Effective on date of ratification, the 60 day rule will be eliminated for any furloughs that occur after that date.

Now O-man take a deep breath , now either your very confused about this or I am .. And your confusion is getting me confused …

Please explain in depth what you mean … use simple words that I can understand and please don’t abbreviate anything .

Oh and wait until OEI when you sign off in may and everyone is pushed back 4 mos because it was signed off in MAY.....your paydate will be adjusted by four months and then it won't appear until the first full pay period. It is a joke everyone. You buy this "doo doo" then "doo doo" it will be.

Why give and take with new negotiations start months from now. HELLLLOOOO everyone....new negotiations starting in less than a year.

VOTE NO IN PA...WE ARE COUNTING ON THAT!

I have another question for anybody in the west. Who does the catering in the west stations?

I think what Freedom is missing is this:

7. Article 7 (Seniority) Integrated Seniority list will apply to all Employees no later than OEI.
((((((( Effective on Transition date ))))))))amend CBA as follows:

• Effective on date of ratification, the 60 day rule will be eliminated for any furloughs that
occur after that date.

• All Employees who are currently working at any station under the 60 day rule or any station
covered under the Interim Transition Agreement on the first day of the first pay period
following ratification will be placed on the pay scale consistent with their US Airways pay
seniority on date of furlough.

THE FIRST BULLET POINT APPLIES TO NEXT RATIFICATION or AFTER TRANSITION ( OEI) NOT THIS ONE......THE FIRST BULLET POINT ISN'T EFFECTIVE TILL TRANSITION DATE.

It's "Fools Gold" language
