Yeah, that is where it was. The one thing I didn't look at first. And it sucks more then I remembered too.
Don't think for a moment that this current crap bk contract won't get dragged out for yearsssssssssssssssss to come if this gets voted down.....and when they roll you into the east, hope you have your resume done up all pretty like......... :up:
 
Sidelined , I can tell from your screen name that you’ve been furloughed …. So I can understand why you would either

The TA , gets rid of the 60 day rule for those of us who are CURRENTLY employed ..

It does nothing for you sadly …. Face it , if you’ve been following this message board for any length of time then you must know that those who are now employed never gave you much of a thought …. And I highly doubt they will going forward . In fact the only time people in your position have even BECOME an issue is when our workers have to face the possibility that they could become you .

yes iam since june 2005 and i think most of us that are furloughed would love to nothing more than to see that 60 day rule eliminated and be able to return to a station since our home station recal has been outsourced. i'll tell you what if this POS TA goes thru, and you get into the same boat as us on the EAST, then let us know how it feels to be in the stupid 60 day rule of which only US FLEET has in the world there is no excuse for it at all
 
Just a couple more days & we can vote this thing out. On a side note I hear our agc got a chewing out yesterday & that some one ask him if he were still one of us would he vote for this thing. He declined an answer which of course is the answer.

To quote the IAM website Q&A.

"Q. What happens if this Agreement is not ratified?

A. The Company has stated they will not negotiate any further enhancements to the current CBA. They will only offer a straight transition agreement bringing the West to The CBA. The Union would request further meetings however there is no requirement under the law to force the company to negotiate.


Q. In the event of a straight Transition Agreement does District 141 Bylaws or the IAM Constitution require a vote?

A. No. The East Agreement is the surviving agreement, and If no changes or amendments occur then no vote is required under the Bylaws or IAM Constitution."


Ok everyone...once and for all...which is it? Is it possible to that the West could be put into the East Contract without a West vote?

In question #2, is the answer refering to a East/West vote or West vote or no vote from either side?

I'm getting a little tired of getting answers that have grey areas from the IAM. I would love to ask the traveling road show for answers but the day they were to arrive at my station, we got the word that they missed the flight. Rescheduled for two days later. They missed that flight!!

I feel for ya robbed....this 60 day rule suxs for you but it is eliminated on the new T/A for future furloughs.

But I highly doubt with 30 years it would ever effect me anyway........

Now your either outright lying or you really cannot comprehend the TA , show me where it says the west citites will suffer under the 60 day rule if we vote yes on this contract , therby elminating the 60 day rule for CURRENT employees...

Look i'm SORRY that you went out on furlough , but don't you understand by now that no one who is currently employeed is going to bargin for you ? these guys just don't care , seriously , they don't .. why dont you ask TIM why in his BIG PICUTRE there's no mention of the 60 day rule or helping those who are affected by it ?

IMO you will not get a strait answer. Easy solution just vote no. IMO they will be back. Why be stuck with the worse contract in the industry.

Excellent post. Parker has been saying this for weeks, however, the yes voters refuse to listen to him and instead are listening to Canele and his traveling stooges tell everyone that US AIRWAYS is 'doomed' with high oil, ALoha went bankrupt, 911, stock low, and the pending earthquake in the midwest next month...so don't you see, you must vote yes.

Really amazing how Yes voters aren't looking at the facts. They proclaim the CIC is worhtless and that Hemenway wants it out just to clean things up a bit. They act like breakroom warriers and fear chapter 7 and refuse to listen to the facts that Parker sez. It's mind boggling how Canale beats these guys like dogs and the yes votes are so beat they just listen to whatever Boss Canale sez.

I've been telling people the facts how US AIRWAYS has the second best balance sheet in the industry and had pushed their debt back to 2013. Yet, some still scream oil is high and skybus went bankrupt. WTF? Seems the yes' believe District Force's tirade about chapter 7 and losing United if we don't vote yes. Oh well, you still gotta love'm.

It's amazing how you can twist the facts ... you know what's funny , if we were not airline employees and we heard the same facts and just read your statment , you would be the one looking far out ..

All of the facts that canele mentioned are in fact FACTS , oil IS at an all time high , geez , log onto CNN.COM go to the bussiness section and look up at the ticker , it even looks like oil could hit ANOTHER all time high today ... what do you think our aircraft fly on ? love and sunshine?

we proclaim the COC to be worthless ? WELL if you want a nice history lesson for our voters here , before the COC was decided i was telling all of our people that it was going to go down in the companies favor , all of you or rather MOST of you disagreed with me most viciously ... but guess what you lost , LOST .. and i'm telling you now AGAIN , the COC isn't worth that much .

If you want the legal facts on the state of our airline and this industry , go to wings or whatever webcite we're using and look up the 2008 Q results where doug parker and crew explain our blance sheet and answer questions ... DO YOUR RESEARCH don't just take the word of some guy ragging on our union ... it's so EASY to vilify our union officers because people don't like them , but that doesn't mean the ARGUMENT is correct or factual ..

that no/yes bit you put up there is simply not true imo

I find hit funny the Freedom believes Canale rather than his hero DP I guess because he can turn it to suit his purpose
