Someone sounds very confused here, lets see if I am understanding the whole picture here.

1- No need to become a steward?
2-No need to attend Union meetings?
3-Solidarity to Ron?
4-Respect for Doug?
5-Will attend rallies?
6-Failure to assist at a local level?
7-Boredom?
8-Gloom and Doom?
9-Only gets involved when it affects ONE?
10-Posturing?

why do you think DP need respect from Fleet? with this new garbage, it is very clear and very obvious that not one of the entire upper mgmt and dp himself has any respect for any fleet service members. he!!! he cant wait for a few months, rising oil prices, to say to fleet, we need to contract 20 more cities and lay off more folks. you know its coming freedom. Now, if I were an AGC, or better, and I had to negogiate, I can tell you I sure as heck would never allowed this garbage in. I would have encouraged members to shoot the crap down with a SAM missle. When you look at the other labor groups, they DONT have 60 day rule, they do have profit sharing, better sick, higher pay. now if that to you shows the respect that dp has for fleet, man i got swamp land in tennessee to sell to you

I can’t know every last detail about our union or our union’s history , we here in PHX haven’t been here that long , if any of you would like to write a nice book about it then I’d be more than happy to read it …

well if you go to our other thread that was closed. I TOLD YOU what I thought about the agc compensation.
but to reference what RON says well that's pretty lame . You want to know the answers to the questions then be there . If the local
business meeting is SOOOOOOOO boring then obviously you have no interest in your SOLIDARITY and YOUR UNION . question
did Ron tell you UA's master plan about PHX and the fact that they don't have an interest in a Marginal Profitable HUB when they have
two profitable ones on either side. like I said before . You might want to ask RR what's in it for HIM before you go believing everything
out of his mouth . because He only speaks what Randy wants him to say. Great guy or not . It's about him first and You second. You
will find that out in the coming months. Freedom trust me your not the first person to buy in to the B/S and then say later WTF just happened. but then again You think we on the east are out to get you . You might want to look into your own backyard first .

As far as the guys running on the NEW DIRECTION . I know 4 personally and I Know what they stand for . and B*llsh*t is not in there
vocabulary. Remember the NEW DIRECTION SLATE didn't sell your station down the river . THEY HAD nothing to do with it . Can you
say the same for Randy's team .

Actually, I DID ask Ron about what UA has in store for us and all he did is throw his arms up and say "I don't know! I don't want to speculate at this point... Let's focus on the current TA for now."

So either he was hiding something, or they honestly aren't considering what will happen. Either way.. NAIVE.

Freedom-
I also asked one of our "capable" shop stewards about our first raise, and he didn't have the right answer. The question was about when we got the first raise. His response was that we get it 30 days from ratification, when, in fact, the contract said WITHIN.. He kind of gave me a smug response too. Way to read the contract PHOENIX! So get involved Freedom. These guys are kind of old and have lost their will to fight.

The constant attempts to belittle the west (and class II stns) and blame them for the future "armageddon" that you all are surely convinvced will take place, does nothing but build up animosity and keeps us divided.

Just a thought here....but maybe the New Direction Team could use some west votes? Their votes were pretty impressive the last go around....


So maybe instead of taking time to photoshop pictures and doing the blame game maybe we can promote cohesiveness in our group and actually get something done. With say ....future elections????

That's not the right attitude. There's nothing wrong with asking questions. Unfortunatly Freedom has demonstrated that he won't listen to the answers.

If you have not been in a coma, and you have been reasonably aware of your surroundings… you know exactly what is going on with the leadership of this Union!

I am not going to attempt to educate the uneducable! Certain posters come into this forum for the sole purpose of distracting. We should not waste valuable time, energy, and bandwidth on these individuals.

I have taken the necessary steps to become proactive in the New Direction endeavor. I have even had to learn proper English, or I would not be allowed to post here! Hopefully… with our collective resolve, we will prevail in bringing about internal change from within the IAM.

I urge all Fleet Members to get involved… VOTE!
Exercise your democratic right next month to choose the leadership that will chisel out your future contracts!

Dexter....are u for real? Get a clue. If you are half way literate & read my post correctly you would understand what I said.

I am for backing up our people, everyone, not just the east or the west. I am for everyone getting on the same page so that we, as a group, can achieve our goals collectively. I have no problem with the New Direction team...my problem is with everyone who is still whining to the west about this T/A. I say let's just move forward and if that's with the NDT, than I'm fine with it....

Don't start on the NY thing....you have NO IDEA where I'm from ....that I will guarantee you...

well a known example of how ny back up their unions, we once had a real nasty mgr that went to BUF and I dont even think he lasted 6 months then he tried to help out on the tkt cntr and got nailed by the union for it. today he is with either tsa or buf airport authority not sure which to me that shows how a union sticks together in ny

Speaking of sticking tohether,I would like to thank MF in CLT for doing just that. He listened to his membership and followed through.People like Mike are true leader's and are the type we should vote in office. I hope oneday he is on the ballot in the future so we can change this union for the good of everyone. The NEW DIRECTION TEAM has my vote!

Maybe you need to see my style of meeting with management. If you want to see fight that is. Beware though, I get loud and use profanity. I must admit that we don't have many stewards and most of them are not very experienced. Why aren't you involved?

Don't knock Ron all the time. He gets "tied up" in his union work!
