I thought I was on furlough from this forum, waiting for the Silver decision. I laughed so hard at the recent filing by the West Class I just had to come back early. Asking for a decision NOT based on the law? Really?!

As to the Company's request to drop their appeal to the Ninth, I am under the impression USAPA has to "let them?" If I am correct, might there be small price? Think before you dump on me for suggesting USAPA would NOT want the case dropped.  This is not Marty stuff, this is real law logic. RR

I have already promised here that if I ever receive my retrospective pay I will never post here again, under any name or avatar. If Judge Silver delays the trial due to Hummel's situation, I make the same promise. Since the merger is DOA, I have just a little chance of getting out clean. Cross your fingers for me, I need a break. RR

Looking forward to December for many reasons.

Yeah, Marty forgot to pass his papers to Silver's clerks for a proof read before the deadline.

Don't run off RR. You've had a pretty good track record and I think most are glad you were wrong on that one!

The Reed Richards’  theorem has been rendered moot.  Dang, just when I was finally going to show Victor I could finally get that Dr. rating!  The West can no longer use our low pay to counteract their sadness over the end of the NIC.

As of 8 Feb 2013, USAPA was able to bring up the pay of the AWA pilots to level they have NEVER seen, ever.  And for icing on the top, another $8400 or so.  Thanks USAPA!  But a little sad for us East pilots, we still do not get what we were making before the terror of 911.  Somehow I am sure Claxon will show all the data, that over the last 25 years or so, even including the last 8, the West lags far, far behind the East in total compensation, especially when you factor in our small PBGC retirements, wide bodies, and upgrades.

And don’t forget, USAPA was also able to help the furloughed pilots in the UAL/CAL merger seniority integration.  ALPA finally listened, too bad March will bring their final demise. DPA should be filing those cards soon, damages will follow for ALPA, for what they did to the TWA pilots.

USAPA will soon be gone, job well done.  And to think it all started out as being “just” about the NIC!  So much good has come from our efforts.  Looking forward to APA.  RR

Thanks, there is a story about my losing prediction for you.... someday over a beer. But yes, best "wrong" I ever experienced. With profit sharing, I guess about a 60K mistake in my own favor.  Maybe I should take a similar position on the 3% raises! RR

I think you're short changing luvthe9, you left out moron.

He doesn't want the MOU payraise because it's not the Delta rate.
Can you imagine being more scorned than Benedict Traitor? Absolutely despised by thousands of East pilots. Now the APA guys will know his story. Sad.
Daddy got him his entire career.

It's not hard to get class certified.  All you need is a stupid union run by stupid pilots from the east and about 3 million dollars. Oh, and you need unity... that may be a problem for you, though.
Start your clock, the one that runs backwards then blows up.

USAPA has been far too stupid in the court room. I think if they were able to at least feign some form of neutrality regarding SLI, she may give them a pass. Nope DOH or nothing. She said that you'd be on dangerous ground if you didn't come up with something objectively fair...what did your scab union do? Doubled down and tried to lie to the West regarding their true intent of 10h. If I were Scabford, I wouldn't be sleeping very well these days.
I read those chronicles about Mark C Doyal and his polygraph stuff. Have you???
What a total psycho. Cactus 18 too. All that pent up rage, the stories about knocking teeth out. A total psycho.

careful you may trigger a nic is the only accepted seniority list at LCC response.

Of course considering it's never been bid by I fail to see how that is really true

I will be given negative reviews by the west for just posting the facts, but here you go with a new MIT 2011 study of cockpit costs.  west, shame.

Ironically part of the current america west pilots legal briefs claim a conflict of interest in the future seniority integration with AMR pilots.  The ill fated nicolau award, that is responsible for this whole debacle, was rife with a conflict of interest.

"Us Airways, America West Seniority Dispute rough draft timeline

2005-2006  US Airways, United in merger talks

2005 Us Airways, America West merge

May 2007  Arbitrator George Nicolau’ pilot seniority award was issued.  The award was written with the assistance of two ALPA pilot neutrals, Steve Gillen United Airlines Pilot and  Jim Brucia former Continental pilot now United Airlines Pilot.

2007 Us Airways pilots ask ALPA to review the award.  ALPA president  John Prater, former Continental pilot now United Airlines pilot, assigns ALPA vice president Paul Rice, United pilot,  to review the award.

December 2007,  Paul Rice, United pilot, delivers seniority list to Us Airways.

2007  A group of Us Airways pilots start a drive to start their own in house pilot union.

March 2008  ALPA puts the Us Airways ALPA Mec in trusteeship.

April  2008  In a National Mediation Board sanctioned election, Us Airways pilots oust ALPA and vote in USAPA as their official pilot representative.

May 2008  United calls off merger talk with Us Airways.

June 24, 2008   United Airlines starts furloughing pilots that will eventually lead to 1450 pilots at United on the street.  Had a merger occurred using the Nicolau award derived with the assistance of United pilot neutrals,  Us Airways pilots would have suffered the brunt of the furloughs and few United pilots would have been affected.

2008  America West pilots sue for DFR against USAPA.

2009  2010 US Airways and United restart merger talks.

April 2010  United Us Airways end merger talks.

June 2010  The 9th circuit court rules in USAPA’s favor."
