Lyle Hogg....Months ago...stated in no uncertain terms....in the crew room....that there was NOT going to be any West furloughs. It's common knowledge in PHX. Believe what you want.

Well, since he said this well after the min block grievance decision was announced I'd say yes indeed. He did "new" it. USAPA is a worthless organization. They have provided nothing but prolonged misery to ALL usairways pilots.

USAPA was created out of spite, for the sole purpose of screwing the west.

As such, they have been completely ineffectual, and often laughable.

While I don't doubt that is your belief... the truth for most of the East pilots was a new union was sought primarily because of the numerous royal screwings the East pilots had taken at the hands of ALPA over countless years! While the NIC may have been the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back" for us (meaning everyone I talk to about this ugly mess), to screw the West was never the East pilots' intent!

Are you forgetting if you take a 330 pilot out, it creates a cascade of upward movement. Most likely a 76 guy would bid up, opening his spot, and then a little bus or 73 capt takes that spot, and then a F/O upgrades. I know you guys get the same on all jets. We don't. We move a lot if there is a higher paying hole.One guy out makes 4 moves. The last move is a guy staying. Nobody got pushed anywhere. You put your own bid in, you don't want to leave? then you stay.

Wrong again. Do you even read the stuff USAPA puts out or just make it up to suit your dream?

Ask yourself does it make sense for the company instead of furloughing one guy that they train 4? No! If a guy leaves off the 330 he is not replaced.

Read the details.

Try reading the RICO dismissal yourself, your rep does not understand the case themselves.

usapa was formed in the back of a van on the way home from the east Herndon rally, with the INTENT of circumventing the Nic. Bradford was counseled by attorney, not to let the INTENT of his progam to be known, because it was legally questionable. Why each individual east pilot voted for usapa is a decision they had the right to make for their own reasons, however, lack of INTENT does not release responsibility for the outcome of the action. For instance, it is not the INTENT of the intoxicated driver to kill a car full of their fellow motorist, but if they survive the accident, they will be held accountable for their actions, not their INTENT. While breach of contract is a much less henous action than the crime of drunk driving, it is still wrong, and has enforcement consequences for which the West will hold usapa accountable.

You do realize that the company has change agreements with the unions numerous times
while management kept all bonus and personal employment contracts. Business as usual

I would like to know what really happened. I am saying I really do not know much with regard to this whole thing. Like I said, the most serious issue with me, would be the screwing around with the Safety Hotline. I really don't care for the other things I have been told happened, but I cannot see going to court on it. I am going to contact my reps, and try and get some understanding as to what really transpired.

It takes a big person to admit that and I'm glad you want to get to the truth. The problem I see is that most BPR reps don't know much about it either, and except for one in PHL they have just taken Seham's word for it or feel justified to achieve other goals. I believe the USAPA website has the documents, and an email to the PHX reps might be helpful. It's not that some actions didn't happen, just that IMO they didn't rise to the level that USAPA claims and there is not much evidence to prove they got the right people. I certainly don't beleive it was a mob type of conspiracy.There are plenty of east guys that were unhappy with USAPA's formation that could have done some of those actions.

Ummm....sure thing, if you say so. 🙄 What could be a more reasonable assertion than that? Perhaps:"If the gloves don't fit...you must acquit!"? Why heck!...I well recall now that it was indeed the east pilot group that proclaimed it'd be "All Out Warfare" were USAPA to be voted into existence!...and afterwards, were even denying themselves jumpseats!

Total B.S.. The company NEVER intended to furlough ANY west pilots to begin with. USAPA was meaningless....as usual.

So what you are saying is the announced 35 west furloughs that has been reduced to zero, was basically an April fools stunt. You guys are on top of so many things, that I'm sure you have some document that the announced 35 was never intended and the company only published this to ease the furlough blow to the east.............please. (glad to see no west getting furloughed, hopefully in the May bid, east also could be 0.)

I wasn't addressing the "binding arbitration" issue... my comment was to refute your comment that the sole reason USAPA was formed was to "screw the West"... Not true! USAPA was formed to finally rid the US Airways Pilots of the parasitic, blood-sucking, destructive ALPA.

You need to distinguish "formed" from "elected".

As nic4us said, USAPA was formed to evade the Nic award. If not, why was the initial idea developed after ALPA refused to overturn the award? Why did Bradford only seek legal opinions about evading the award? Why the claims of USAPA being the best choice for evading the award?

I'm sure USAPA was voted for by individual pilots for a multitude of reasons, including to remove ALPA from the property. But that's a completely different than why USAPA was formed.
