US Pilots Labor Discussion 1/26- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

Wrong again. Do you even read the stuff USAPA puts out or just make it up to suit your dream?

Ask yourself does it make sense for the company instead of furloughing one guy that they train 4? No! If a guy leaves off the 330 he is not replaced.

Read the details.

Try reading the RICO dismissal yourself, your rep does not understand the case themselves.

It is amazing what a little education can do.
Mythbuster- who said it makes sense that they train 4? Obviously their calculations with regard to furloughs are going to change. Every time they cut back, it results in massive training flowdowns. So now you are telling us if a 330 pilot leaves off the very top, this does not create upward movement in a normal environment? When they cut back on the 330 time it is different, but they will be going forward again when a lot of these guys retire.

You do realize that the company has change agreements with the unions numerous times
while management kept all bonus and personal employment contracts. Business as usual

Weak argument, stay focused, 3 sides agreed to binding arbitration.

Who cares if the company screwed you in the past, this was an agreement with fellow pilots.

If we took your feelings into this, then you don't care if you get screwed again..since everyone does it..right?

You need to distinguish "formed" from "elected".

As nic4us said, USAPA was formed to evade the Nic award. If not, why was the initial idea developed after ALPA refused to overturn the award? Why did Bradford only seek legal opinions about evading the award? Why the claims of USAPA being the best choice for evading the award?

I'm sure USAPA was voted for by individual pilots for a multitude of reasons, including to remove ALPA from the property. But that's a completely different than why USAPA was formed.

Jim
Jim, you cannot say this for certainty. You cannot pin USAPA to the NIC as the ONE reason. It was the final straw for many of us. I was not there when it was "dreamed up." I really cannot agree that the sole reason was to evade NIC. Maybe it was for some, but you must agree that is your opinion, and conjecture. My reasoning was this- if ALPA remained, their promise of separate ops was going to be broken. We would have woken up one morning, being told of why our ALPA leadership had no choice other than to implement NIC. It happened with the pension, and they were NOT getting another shot at me personally. They had to go before they got to take the shot. Your statement "As nic4us said,USAPA was formed to evade the Nic award" is opinion, and should be taken as such, not a factual statement.

Curious, how is the "damage case" coming along?

Status conference in Judge Wake's courtroom next Tuesday. He worked wonders moving his docket around to accommodate the liability portion of our case, so the damages portion shouldn't be any different. This will be completely sewn up within 15 months or so and then the damages will be getting paid and this pilot group will be able to move forward.

Oh I'm sure he did work wonders. The Desert Judge better move fast before he gets pulled up short on his leash. This case was a hobby for him.........

paid by whom? By the union, maybe, by the pilots thru assesments, not paid no movement.

Right on, remember your are talking to someone that loves to read his ALPO magazine every morning and before going to bed.

BS,

If what you say is true. When will we be getting this new and better Union. So far it seems very similar to what occurred with Alpa. Power grabs, self enrichment, infighting, benefits for the pilots as a whole........not so much. Could it be that its many of the same Alpa people have been installed in the "new better union for all pilots" that it seems your claims are not exactly correct. Because if a hatred of Alpa truly brought us usapa then why do we still have Alpa people calling the shots????????? Where are the east pilots who truly want a better union, you know the ones that say Alpa was soo bad we had to run them out. Not so much Nicolau, just Alpa was so bad.

Yes, we will move forward. To different destinations........

Dreamer!!!
I was being conservative with the 15 month estimate, it really could be wrapped up before then.

I read the USAPA update and couldn't help but notice that DM testifies as to nothing substantive, just opinions. But then Glass testifies about several documents which came from ALPA, with only a ten minute cross exam from USAPA?

Hmmmm..... I bet those docs weren't very helpful to one of the parties.

Who cares what you think. Is this your argument? Live with your agreements, like real men do. In the real world agreements are in court every day this one is no different. This is why employees need unions because agreements are not kept. Business as usual

HPretiree is a West guy, and nobody on the West needs warnings about dealing with parties who don't honor agreements. Believe me, we know!

What ALPA National atrocities did not also have AAA MEC fingerprints on them? And since the players on the AAA side haven't changed substantially, why should the results be any different?

It seems the evidence is proving that when the east pilots get to run things unilaterally, they run themselves into a wall. Over and over and over and over and....
