Time for a new thread.

I will remind you the rules of the board will continue to be strictly enforced.

I suggest you read the rules at the top of the forum yet again before posting.

Thank you.

We might be making progress though. It sounds like some on the east have moved all the way into the third or even fourth stage of the grieving process:
1) Denial
2) Anger
3) Bargaining
4) Depression
5) Acceptance

We are seeing number three. The bargaining! Now after 5 years we are hearing about compromise and what can be done.

When the ninth rules we are going to see depression and anger. Anger at the ninth, anger at the west, anger at the USAPA, but no anger at the east pilots themselves. I just hope that we do not retreat back to step 1 denial by trying to take this mess to the SCOTUS.

Then finally we can get to what I have been saying for a long time, acceptance. It is to bad that we had to wait over two years for the east to accept this and move on. You all have cost everyone a lot. Not just in money but time and emotions and good will.

There was a telephonic BPR meeting yesterday, and one of the main agenda items was a Negotiating Advisory Committee briefing on the tentative agreement for an Early Retirement Plan. This is the plan that is supposed to reduce the number of upcoming furloughs. USAPA should have already put out an update to share this information for all pilots. This is a big deal for a lot of pilots and their families; so what's the scoop? Does anyone have any good information on this?

Yeah, i've got some good info. If your a west pilot forget about gaining one iota of benefit from an early out program. USAPA has zero intention to preserve a single west job. Obviously USAPA is too stupid to avoid a DFR. History proves that. .

I would suggest you take a look at the Atlas/Polar merger for a look at our collective futures.

2001 merger announced.

2010 pilot groups unable to agree on contract opener - yet to have so much as an initial meeting with company on joint contract talks.

2011 summer target for a TA with a joint system bid in early 2012.

11 years.

A giant Krispy Kream donut in each trans Atlantic crew meal.

Hey!...Be fair!. Any perk's a perk! ..but still....I'm personally holdin' out for at least an even dozen.

Seriously; (although the doughnuts do sound good for starters), from what I've heard...I don't expect any significant number of bail outs to happen from the rather pathetic buyout figures. A very small handfull that were about to hang it up anyway might be slightly motivated..but/etc. Let thee none forget that thou dost labor under a management that's only evidenced focus to date is: "How fast can we make another merger/transaction happen and personally pocket many millions?"..and; "How much can we screw everyone/employeees/customers/shareholders/anyone/all outta' and put into our own pockets?"........"and still get away with it?".

Details of the ER program are out on the USAPA website. Look under the NAC updates for the letter. No clue if it's enough to attract any takers?

The National Mediation Request has been approved. Can't rush that process my friends.

I'm sure with USAPA in participation the process will be anything but rushed. Can you say "PARKED"?

Dear Mr. Positive,

I'm not sure of the basis of your post. Are you saying the west is not eligible? I would agree because first it's not part of your contract. Also Usapa requested the west be included, but the company responded no need to visit this because no west furloughs. You stated the west will get no benefit from this, I'm sure you could trade positions with someone, so you may benefit from this great deal. Just let me know and I will fight for your benefit.
