Our AFA local is the best in the company.

This is the most pathetic statement I have read on this site in a very long time and it clearly shows the state of our of union representation, or lack thereof.

Attacking another person is always a clear sign that they have no positive things to say about their own preferred candidate.

The FA group needs to start demanding MORE from their leaders. Yes they handle the day-to-day things, and yes we appreciate that. However, part of the job is to look out for us and our future and that requires thinking outside of the box, moving forward to make changes, fighting the big battles, taking the time to listen to your members and vote accordingly, not just playing fire marshal putting out fires all over the place.

It is sad to think that as FAs we are reaching a point where we need a separate committee to survey the members, listen to our concerns, and represent us to our own union.

We will not quit until change happens.

EVERYONE who has the ability should show up the the local 70 meeting with their proxy votes for those that can't. I will GUARANTEE that Grace and Omar are counting on members not showing up so the recall signatures can be outweighed. It would be a terrible shame to see the recall effort go this far only to be stamped out. As soon as the meeting date is announced plan accordingly. IT'S YOUR UNION as Grace is so often heard saying. 😉

Who cares who flybynight is! I want an answer to my question. Come on Flybynight lets pony up... what has Ann done in her years of AFA service to make a mark. Anything to better our lives to do anything other than suck up a position and play office manager? Being a union rep doesn't mean you were elected to play an office manager or accountant. You answer a phone or return a call? Great that's your standard JOB. Ann gossips, makes up flat out lies on folks she doesn't like and acts like a 3rd grade school girl. She was miss cute back in 1989 but really she is a little game playing joke. She promises votes on the MEC only to take a 1 hour bathroom break during the vote. She elects a person too AFA National that she was told not to vote for by the majority of her members. She screams at people in the crew room like a wild woman with no professionalism. The list can go on and on.

Bottom line folks Ann is scared. She played her AFA cards too close to Flores even though she HATES the man. A vote for Ann is a vote for Mike and Carol and the same #### the company has offered you so far. If you are that stupid you deserve it. And that, is the bottom line.

Ann isn't scared by any means. And I do believe you've been listening to too much jump seat gossip.

In all her few years as our rep, she has worked her tail off. She doesn't gossip like Miss Cathy or should I say...Chatty Cathy....who got let go for running her stupid mouth as our reserve chair.

If any one acts like a 3rd grade school girl, maybe you should take a long hard look at Cathy who broke down and wailed and slobbered when she didn't get MEC reserve chair. Hmmmmm?

You think you do but you have never gone to the office and watched what they are doing for the members. They work their asses off. For you...every day...day in and day out.

The thing about the soup lady is she certifiable. The most unstable person I've met in my life. How she has held on to her job is a mystery to me. I know for a fact, she has a file as long as my arm..&.she goes out on OJI every year. I'm begining to think the only reason she's running is because the company is up her ass and is looking for a reason to fire her sorry butt. And believe me..she is a lousy f/a.

Oh really? That's rich and made me chuckle. I know of an instance when Annie got caught in such a huge lie it was beyond embarrassing. She could not keep her story straight as she gossiped from one LEC to another. Poor gal got twisted in her own lies and gossip, then they called her out.

LOL LOL Excuuuuse me while I compose myself. Boy, did I need a good laugh. I guess one would have to define what Ann's job has been to say she that she has done it well. I mean, really, if sitting around not answering phone calls, not filing grievances, not really doing anything is her job then I guess she is doing a superb job. If representing all the F/As in her base (and not just an elite few), staying in touch with her membership (and not just during election time), or ensuring that the company doesn't abuse our rights under our contract is her job then she has failed miserably.
I agree with several others who have posted here: What has Ann done to make us a stronger Union? Anything from the peanut-gallery? I have yet to see one thing written from her cohorts that isn't slanderous toward her opposition.
Everybody in CLT needs to oust this Boss Hog mentality from our midst!

By the way, the ONLY way to know that she has a file as long as your arm is if you are management in which case you have violated a few laws by revealing anything, or you are a Union rep in which case you have violated your confidentiality oath. As a Representative you are not allowed to disclose anything outside of the Union office. There might even be a few penalties involved. Unless of course our upstanding and professional representatives have "GOSSIPED" (tell me it ain't so, Joe!) or spoken out of school (I shudder to think!).

I don't know Jack Shite about AFA stuff, however I do know a thing or two about business negotiations and articulating a position. I honestly think I could do a better job than whoever you pick as I would be a total outsider with one goal and that would be to put Parker and his simpletons on notice that without some contract enhancements he won't have to worry about his bonus as there won't be an airline.

I'm as Libertarian and Pro Business as you get and if I'm saying it's time to take Parker to the woodshed my question is where have you guys been?

It is obvious that by the great amount of lengths you are going to trash soup ladys character you are obvously accepting that Ann is going to lose and have to come back out on line. OMG to say that Ann has been in office a short time is a joke. She been in office for 18 or so years now. Secretary, Vice President and now President. Amazing you chastise her for posting on FB but you need to post on aviation. Hum and exactly what baggage does she exactly have? She is very stable and very professional....oh that is right Ann's camp is realizing that Ann is going to lose so they feel the need to attack the soup lady's character in one last attempt to discredit her. Hate to tell you but your plan is backfiring. Again go back and discuss the trainwreck that is our current President. Oh and her going to work looking like she just got out of bed is so professional. Meanwhile, back from the commercial break:

This appears to be one scenario. It is strange that those who defend the current LECP so vehemently become so silent when asked a simple question. Maybe they are still way down in the archives looking for something to pull out of the hat. Maybe they just don't have anything more to say. Maybe there is nothing they can say (unless it's derogatory).

You know the old adage: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything.
