AFA labor discussion (Work related)

The fringe crazies may be some reserves, but the only ones I have spoken to were block holders. Like I said, my decision to vote yes or no will also include the reserve section. But you chose to leave that part of my quote out. I said it would have to be a good contract for ALL f/a's. Twist everything around, leave stuff out, that is what fringe crazies do, you might just be one and if your're reserve, then that would mean, yes, now I know of one reserve that is.
So from what you have read of the Reserve T/A you can't form an opinion yet? Seriously? Well that speaks volumes and if you feel that way many, many others do as well. Scary and I hope every single person that votes for this crap finds themselves working on it. I'd wet myself 1000 times over with delight. 🙄 Still are not sure? My God we're all freakin doomed. 🙁

So what your suggesting is to ignore everything that comes down the pipe - that it is a waste of time and effort to even bother waiting to hear what other benefits we may or may not receive?

You've read correctly. What PSA1979 has said was,(shocking) "I do not care that the RSV section is essentially unlivable; I won't have to deal with that. I want to read the "whole" contract; I may get a pay raise, and am senior enough to live with a Pref Bid system.

What people don't understand, is that she/ he is in the MAJORITY; laughing at the RSVs all the way-- give her / him a pay raise, and they press#1 - YES.

Reserves- get it yet? You darn "fringe crazies!!"
 
PSA1979 you ought to be ashamed of yourself to feel as you do. Have you actually took the time to read the reserve t/a? No, I mean really read it like an attorney would? There is no way in hell you could admit that you DID and feel as you do now. Unbelievable really that someone would find it acceptable to cause such pain to another employee and press 1 for YES just for a crumb. You again Missy should be ASHAMED of yourself. :angry:

She had me thinking "OK-this is good " right until the end with the fringe crazy part. Leave her alone she can't help it and for her "fringe crazy" is a compliment. She has suffered enough.

PSA1979- Has it ever crossed your mind that the real crazy involves the FEW that think what has been brought to light so far is acceptable? Like flying down the road of life ignoring EVERY RED FLAG until you get to cliff like Wile Coytoe. BEEP BEEP!

That is exactly why they do not get it. Besides, in the end Wille Coyote always survives right? I think the name calling says a lot. I know some are on overdrive with passion but that is a little much PSA. Everyone has an opinion. It is fine to defend that opinion but to call folks that are of a different opinion fringe crazy does not help your cause. Now you are right up there with Ohreally and the gang. Wonder where they went all of the sudden?

This is why I have said time and time again it is not just about the reserves or the line holders. You are right in the fact that you must look at the whole contract. However, if one part of it rolls an entire group under the bus you should be asking your negotiating team why that is so. It appears because it is easy to get people like you who will never be affected by it to vote yes. This is not a personal attack. This seems to be the negotiating team strategy. There is no thinking outside the box here at all. Just do the least amount to get a contract passed. I am just pointing out this is what your fellow coworkers have been screaming from the top of the mountain for quite some time now with little interest. Since said group is the minority it is easy to ignore them and suffer little consequence. They may seem like they are crazy but they just want to be heard. This has not happened up to this point. They have reached a breaking point and are now trying to get someone to listen.

You are always going to have people who find fault in anything that is presented. That is human nature. But when you have such a large group that is all singing the same tune it should be apparent that something is not quite right. Mr. Flores should realize that maybe if he were to tune in a little better he might just learn something. I think he is taking it personally that someone dare to question his negotiating skills. Even his kamikaze cheerleaders on here were screaming conspiracy. Only one person with a vendetta! Therefore, all these other folks here have been poisoned and have no say. If they took as much time to listen as they do to spread their FUD they (Mr. Flores/Miss Austin) may actually come to some sort of understanding.

The term(s): With Crew Scheduling Consent, Crew Scheduling May, At the Option of Crew Scheduling, If Crew Scheduling Agrees, As Determined by Crew Scheduling, At Crew Scheduling’s Digression and If Crew Scheduling Elects- appears 18 times in 19 pages of the RSV T/A section.
 
Let me go on record here and now in saying that if this contract passes I WILL quit this job. There is no way in hell I could allow myself to stay and endure what I have read in that t/a. Yes it's THAT bad people. To stay would be like a woman staying in an abusive relationship because she loved him. I'm smart enough to see it would not be healthy. If there are many others out there that feel as I do those that vote yes better think again about reading that reserve t/a. So again, I would be OUT OF HERE. If that is some sort of play I think they are targeting the wrong group of people. HELLO?????? 🙄

Well, I never said I have not decided to vote no. The reserve TA isn't finished, as there are sections in compensation, scheduling, etc. that have yet to be negotiated. I have a few questions from what I read that I need clarification of, so, I am waiting for the whole thing to read and evaluate. No sense in jumping around screaming, I want the whole TA in my hands before I start being vocal. Which doesn't mean I am leaning toward a yes, it just means I will wait to commit.

The RSV T/A IS done - it is a tentative agreement between the JNC and the company. It doesn't matter if they give us a big old fat raise, the language allows scheduling to shove it to us any which way they want to.

I'm right there with Travel regarding quitting if this passes. I've given too much to roll over another day.

The only thing still up in the "air" on RSV is 11 vs 12 days off and some paltry other nonsense. The meat and potatoes is in the RSV TA language. There is so many Red Flags, you can't help but scream foul! What you are suggesting is- spray a TURD with Glade Room Deodorizer and claim the house smells nice. I say hit the FLUSH then spray.
