TO ALL THE NEW DIRECTION SUPPORTERS

As a TEAM 2008 supporter it pains me deeply to concede this election. But I think it's now time to congratulate all you guys/gals, your team, and your efforts. I have enjoyed getting to know you as blogging buds. As a minority Canale supporter on this site, thanks for not slamming me or my opinions. Good luck to us all

Joe Dirt was seen speeding away from the party in his 78 monte carlo and his hot looking wife riding shot gun . B) B) B)

question.. ??? How did basket get such a hottie. I can't figure that out.

I can understand why Chief Wahoo got one . with his intelligence and pony tail and all but Basket .. come on . someone fill in the pieces

PJ , You missed a good throw down brother . would definetly been worth an occurance....
While it didn't go unnoticed that all the wives were beautiful, the fact that they were there suggested to me that they were fully behind their hubbies in their efforts and time consuming determination to represent workers with the vehicle that we call 'a new direction'.

A special thanks to Roadtrip and Goodfellas for getting my cell phone back to me. Perhaps the tequila had more of an effect on me than I gave it credit for.

District Officer Election Update: A New Direction Wins

A senseless brutality indeed. If this was a 'pop warner' baseball game it would have been over in the 3rd inning by way of an 11 run lead.

In what could be considered a 5th round knockout, the New Direction Team has mathmatically eliminated Randy Canale and friends. Randy is now the past and hopefully the IAM INTL won't take care of him and appoint him over DL141. A F/A report said that Randy actually crossed the United employee picket lines last week in defiance of labor and sat with his 'wine and cheese pals' on the United board of directors. While I am not surprised of Randy's 'anti-union' attitude, this blatant public display of 'pro management' is shocking.

Going back to the District officer elections. It is finished, however, this doesn't mean that the other 15 stations still left to vote should sit back. It is very important for the remaining stations to show management that you are a part of this historic act of solidarity that has never happened previously in this district. Further, it is important for you to give the new direction your support by voting for these members. In doing so, you make them stronger in the October convention, and also make them stronger in future negotiations.

Attention all “New Direction†Candidates…

As we make this transition in IAM Leadership, you have my full support, and confidence.
All this Membership asks… is that you remember where you came from…be visible…. communicate…and most importantly, don’t let salaries, and politics pollute your convictions.

This Membership has demonstrated their willingness to assert change, and I’m certain they would mobilize once again… if any of the above were to be breached.

Now… for “New Direction Supporters†…

Awesome job! I’ve never witnessed such a focused effort in this type of election. I’m relatively certain that we have actually made Labor History! Congratulations! This is what unionism is about… solidarity! You have demonstrated to the Union, as well as the Company… that we can… and WILL… work together as a cohesive, solid “battering ramâ€â€¦more than willing to smash unjust obstacles from our path to prosperity, and job security!

Now to all Team 2008 supporters…

My hope is… that you will give our new Officers the same support as the previous administration. We are in for some of the most troubling times in the history of Commercial Aviation. It will be imperative, that this Membership fully stands behind our new leaders.

The vote is still going on with several cities left. Although the numbers at this point are all on ND08 side of the score board the members left to vote still should go to the polls. I would recommend since its a forgone conclusion that New Direction is the winner all members left this month to vote should vote ND08 .It would send a strong a clear mesage to the companies management that the membership supports the change in leadership and will back them up fully over the next coming years.

To the New Direction leaders a Big Thank you for proving to the membership that you Can change the leadership of this union.

We have waited a LONG time for this day and its almost here EVERYONE LEFT COME OUT AND VOTE

Liberty, could you post date and times of the local's that still have to vote? Big thank you GF.

lets not forget the 2 ND08 that stuck to there convictions for the membership and didn't allow Randy to scare them out of the

race . eventhough it temporarily cost them there jobs and I'm sure a financial strain in this tough economy.

Mr. Delaney and Ms Stone . A BIG THANK YOU for steering the ship into the right direction for THE MEMBERSHIP...

Roa,
classic. What ever happened to that kind of music.
