District force,

Do not believe the lies of those who are for the new direction team. Tim Nelson, you should be ashamed of yourself for your blatant smear campaign against Randy Canale. Randy Canale is a proven leader.

For those of you that support Team 2008, this is not over. We have rules and regulations that apparently many Local Officers decided to violate. More than a dozen of the Locals apparently didn't follow the voting policies of this union. In doing so they may have invalidated their vote. Lack of postings, timeliness and other procedures were duly noted. Some even made a mockery of the voting place by offering food inside the voting area.

Really? Techniques like letting PHX vote in it's own terminal, as opposed to those stations who had to go offsite to vote?

I have seen IAM reps... ONCE.. In two years. Never seen Canale... All of PHX hates the IAM for taking so long to get us equal wages, now we are silent because we finally did.

Those IAM reps that came into the breakroom had NO answers to any of MY questions, and all they did was make excuses... That is NOT the concessionary attutide we need right now. I've never had the privelage of being in an oldschool union, but things I hear, then and now, leave me even more disappointed. YET they still get my money.

Hey mike33,

This is where the dues money went. CONTRIBUTIONS GIFTS AND GRANTS- wink-wink 😉
I heard it was going to continue for 5 years!

I mean Rat Tales ( sorry )
I think that was the Payout to the TWU for backing out. Trying to get a worth of dues money paid by the membership of the west to the escrow account because the IAM was just an administrator till the TA was signed i believe?

P. Rez: Our estimate was probably pretty crude but we came up with
about 25 mil in Dec. By now I figure it's up to 30 mil. But we didn't
have an accurate count of west employees or PT/FT ratio.

Ideally we should get an accounting from the IAM of the disposition of
that money. How much of it have they spent to date and did
141 borrow on that from the international. This is important
because IMO it had a lot to do with the urgency of passing a TA.

If its not essentially all gone by now how bout putting a significant
chunk of it into the strike fund. Or at least give us some say in
whats done since we were basically unrepresented for the last
3 years. Thanks BF

My point would probably be that the IAM couldn't touch that money till legally able to do so. If we get somehow B*llsh*ted then thats an avenue to persue. Who was the Gate keeper of that account and was the gate opened before its' time in any way...........?????????

If it was used last year you can check the LM-2 Reports. The international report is very extensive.

District force , I disagree with your assessment that there’s still a chance for the incumbents … there isn’t , it’s a land slide and no amount of political jockeying is going to change that ..

As for the new direction supporters , if you think the concession stand is “closed forever†I want to take this moment to snap you back into reality .. congratulations on your victory , your elected officials will be in office soon , however , steel yourselves for a return to your BK contract minus the sixty day rule and the class two division …(or something akin to your BK contract )

I also want to remind this company that there will NOT be another division between class one and class two stations like there was before , there won’t be , don’t even TRY it , the former class two stations will revolt and shut everything down .. same goes if you try and reinstitute the sixty day rule again … but to be honest I doubt the company will try either of those two unfair actions .

I hate to be the doom and gloom at the party , but I don’t want to see all of you getting your hopes up that the new union leaders will stop the company from getting the concessions it will need . Every union on the property that has moved out of their BK contracts will be making concessions by the end of the year or at the beginning of the new year … If your somewhere out there on the east coast and you’ve gotten all of your raise in one go , make as much money as you humanly can right now … because sooner or later we will be returning to a lower pay scale again ….

All of us know the economic climate that our airline is in , prepare yourselves for tough times .

But on the bright side , since we didn’t move too far out of our BK contract the cuts in their totality won’t be that bad .

You just don't get it. The union doesn't have to answer any phone calls till JULY 2011. You're now with the right leadership, assuming no BULL.....It's the Companies turn to do the job they are paid to do. Sit back relax and next time vote will you!!!!

have an accurate count of west employees or PT/FT ratio.

The TWU dues structure called for 2X your hourly rate. We had about 2500 employees averaging about $11 an hour. That would equal $55,000 per month or $660,000 per year in dues.

Hope this helps.

i disagree mike , I believe that every union on the property will willingly take cuts without the need for BK ..

there isn’t even the need for BK in my mind to convince the unions to return to their BK contracts … I feel all of them will do it willingly … it would be a waste of my time to explain to you why I feel this is so , but I’m just writing on here now to soften you up for the coming reality …

so , ah , I guess what I’m saying is , if your topped out on the east and making the full amount , make as much as you can now .... do you hear me , make as much as you can now … the company and our union will be back at the table by the end of summer .

Thanks P

It gives us something more realistic to work with.

And would you throw some cold water on this poster above me. Thx

I also respect your opinion but there is no softening me up. The road is true, straight and it started in MAY 2008 and ends sometime after July 2011.....

This is the House that Fleet Service Built................Welcome

Doug bought 197,000 shares of LCC yesterday. Do you think he bought it beacuse the unions were going to make concessions? No Way. He can spin it anyway he wants but they are finally doing their job and he's thinking we are going to be alright and it's a better investment for him than to give up his salary. I personally think he should have done both but he's half way there............oh well !!
