Easy 150 more. that's definetly a plus. And the added bonus is having support from our PHL brothers coming

in for the historic event. I'm trying to get a fireworks permit so that we can Shoot em off after the numbers come in .

great things are going to happen in clt on the 12th I tell ya. You might want to pick up a little O.T to cover the pizza

Oman, JD, ROA, rat, and the rest o the boys-n-girls in CLT,

Maybe if I can arrange it, I could come watch the carnage on thursday. Let me see what I can do. It's good to see that CLT holds the hammer ready to strike the stake all the way through canoli and crew's heart!

BTW

Top O the page.....Beat ya to it!

Looks like the celebrating is already beginning. ND team has it! But truth be, not a one delegate from United in the new team has demonstrated any difference to anyone voting against Canale. Sorry guys!

It's Miller Time. Stop Gloating on the win when no one knows WHY you win!

So much like Hillary and Obama!

pj beating Oman to the top doesn't take much anymore,he 's getting old and I think mentoring these new hires is making him soft The old fellow is losing his edge

Speaking of the old guys, we really need to MENTOR the new and the old of how important this vote is...Let's show up STRONG in CLT.....we are such a melting pot of many stations now ,WE are now the station with BA!!S..SHOW"EM what we got....

Sorry to go off topic, but since this is a fleet thread maybe someone can answer this: if your out on OJI for 6 months and come back to work, who is responsible for making sure dues are taken out when your back on payroll? I know you should check your deductions on every check but they were'nt. Is the company to notify the union that the employee is back to work....

Whisperjet you are so right. The vote coming up is going to determine the course of our future. It is ending up being one of the most important votes we will be having for some time. I hope people realize the importance. Spread the word I don't get over to your side very often.

LD3 It's should be the company talking care of it but imo it's up to you to check for yourself and call payroll and get on their a** if not you know how they can screw things up

QUESTION FOR RAMPERS-

Are your managers getting on your cases because of local bags not being returned to the customer on time, along with priority bags going up first, and getting connecting bags mixed up?

They are in PHX. they are making threats. So, do I go to my duty supervisor and request to NOT run local bags? What if they refuse?

Why do East employees INSIST upon splitting local bags into both bins along with connecting bags? Why don't you guys short stack? Why do you insist on putting the 40 bags in the farthest part of the forward bin on a 321? We are all on the same system now, even PHX knows better than to do that! Why do people mix thru bags into local bags?

Is it any mystery that we have the WORST baggage system in the world?

Don't be offended by my questions, just realize that they are threatening to fire and discipline your brothers because they miss that stray connecting or thru bag that is mixed in with the locals.

West cities don't have this problem for the record. Everything is seperated, and thrown into one bin, and short stacked.
I'm getting the impression you don't know what a short stack
50 bags total in the back of a 320...

Note- A skilled agent should be able to stack 120 bags WITHOUT using the the bag space highlighted by the series of X's, just the bag space in front of the door, including the space in front of the NETTING, and all the way to the TAPER. It's SO much easier for all people!!

Thank you.

If Randy loses, they will just move him up to a GLR at the International then assign him back to US and UA.

Hey Chill, I totally agree with you and I'm glad you brought it up. Some of it has to do with the W/B system. You know as wwell as I that the east and some of the new west leads have never done any Mapper Trims. They just go by whats in the load plan. OK, thats one probable reason.

My complaint is that some stations don't do the DRLM mask as they should for CLT and PHL. They operate on a zone system I believe and need to know what CX bags by destination are in each bin if there are overflows. I was quite perplexed to learn today that there are some Leads that don't do any DRLM entries. That includes PHX. I checked today and found that the first flights to CLT and PHL had no zone load info to pull off. Yes we all know that if the BOs' are in the FC and BE are in the AC then it's assumed. But what if there are overflow situations. How and Why should a runner have to wait for the whole flight to be offloaded if he has some hot CX to pick up. If the masked was filled out he could look for 3 RDU in AC and know he has 2 more in the FC and be on his way if he's looking for 5 bags.

Also I've found that the DRH doesn't show in PHX even if you filled out the mask ( which I do on every flt no matter where it's going ) I think because the sabre system was designed for ZONES 1-8 which PHX doesnt have.

Whats your take on all of this? I've worked Station Ops for about 15 yrs now and can imagine the frustration on the part of CLT and PHL. Not that the return bag salad is acceptable for retaliation purposes but I can see why some do it.

For Me it's a waste of my time and way to much effort to send Flts back the way we sometimes get them.

Sorry for the long .............................whatever!

chill, first of all at CLT leads take the locals to the claim belts and for the most part getting them there is a non issue on occasion we may get a memo about priority bags As for 40 bags in the back of the FC of a 321 I don't believe you get them that way from CLT not unless you have pissed off the crew with the usual sh***y PHX job of zone loading .No one here is dumb enough to work harder just to screw you over.

to say that PHX always separates is frankly laughable,we hardly ever get one that is not screwed up is some fashion or another. Does the "E" key work on the company computers there? it's nothing to get an off load that says BL75 but many of those will be express bags BE if you don't know.sorry bro I like you ,you seem like a good guy but PHX has no business calling any station out on loading

I agree. I was surprised at what some of the leads in SAN told me. I thought everyone filled out the Load Info the correct way ??

Mike
In CLT its not the leads that do the loading and imput the information. Its "regular" agents like me that must decide how to load the flights with the load plan. No one is looking over my shoulder or second guessing my decisions. I personally take pride in knowing that anything I load up will be done properly and all the computer entries are correct.

It's very rare that San receives a bad I/B from anywhere any more. My concern is from here to anywhere. Our leads should be doing it the correct ways is all.
