But that is only on your SECOND DAY OFF having worked at least 4 HOURS ON YOUR FIRST DAY OFF. You have to live at US Airways to get double time. Sorry, US Airways is only a place to work for me. Not my life. I like my days off.

Not true dude....after 8 hours of time and a half (a double) anything after is doubletime regardless of what day of the week it is.....read bottom of page 4 of the new T/A.....

urbff,

Ur best f**k friend?????

Hey now former Prez, Is that any way to talk to me? You said I'm a hater, why Honey, you seem to just be full of it. Don't act like that Darlin'. It's just not healthy! It's just silly to lash out like that. I don't hate you, Honey! I don't want to fight with you , you big, tall, hunk of man. Try to keep that nasty temper of yours under control. Have you had your blood pressure checked lately? I'm worried about you Sugar! I did talk to you before. I know who you are. I hate to dissappoint you but no, I will not be ur best f**k friend. Very crude of you to ask. I prefere to keep that part of my life away from work, and sorry away from you. I have something a lot better going on, thanks though. Let's try to keep this on track and away from that nasty talk!

We are all in this together Sweetie! I just want to do the right thing That's why we are both voting yes!

" US Airways has a market capitalization of $802 million, based on Friday's closing share price of $8.72 on the New York Stock Exchange. UAL is valued at $1.92 billion, based on Friday's closing price of $15.89 on the Nasdaq Stock Market. This means United shareholders would end up owning a significant percentage of the combined entity.
The two also have $5.3 billion in unrestricted cash between them, some of which presumably would go toward funding the one-time integration expenses."

Someone asked what a few of my reasons for a yes were. Most are just based on my opinion so I will keep it to myself for now. As far as premiums go, I think that they will go up anyway when we move under the East contract. I do, happen to believe that will happen. I have insurance outside of my work so this is not an issue for me anyway. Thats why I am saying that there are pesonal issues at play for everyone and for some it makes more sence than others. Everything else is speculation and opinion.

As far as the merger goes, it has nothing to do with company money. Investor money will make the difference. Thats why the COC failed last time. America West did not buy Usairways, a group of investors, "formed by AWA nonetheless" that included the carriers themselves, formed a conglomeration, and bought both groups to form a new Usairways.

I refer you to post 137

freedom,
"Those people don’t seem to understand that in the last TA vote , only half of our workforce showed up …. For any strike authorization you need at LEAST 50 percent , does anyone honestly believe that out of the 50 percent that voted for the TA that entire 50 percent will completely agree, to the man to vote for a strike ? No way , no how , doubtful ."

just to clear up your misconception again .... for a STRIKE vote . YOU NEED 50% plus 1 of the total number of people VOTING .

not a total number of the membership. just like any other election. so if 100 people go and vote and your membership is 6000

and 51 vote for a strike . guess what . Freedom this is basic stuff . your creditability goes down even further every time you post

maybe you should take a break from this for a while cause your mindset seems to have short in it .

urbff hides behind this female thing. Just a drive by poster.

urbff is not female as stated in this post: post 275

http://www.usaviation.com/forums/index.php...st&p=594507

I for one am starting to be offended by the inferences that are being made by this poster. If you check this posters first page of posts, he posted in a normal fashion and morphed into some one quite offensive.

This should not be tolerated?

I think 700 used this term once... "flamebait"

Isthisok...

That is true but if I work a double and we have late flights...which is very common in FL due to wx in PHL...we have to stay. That means...the later the flight the more doubletime. I don't know about your stn but doubles are common here so that doubletime can add up.

gf ,
I am assuming your referring to working that late flight on your 6th or 7th day right.

o-man...
No.... I'm referring to any day that you work a double....if you go beyond 16 hours then it's doubletime....again that usually will only happen with late flights.

GF,

I do not see anywhere that after 16 hours on any day that doubletime is awarded. Just on 6th and 7th days. Can you show where it states "after 16 hours worked" all time after that is doubletime? Either in the T/A or our current CBA.

hey gf,
Not to burst your bubble. but the amendment to article 6 is for 6.Q which is in reference to your weekly qualifier

you have to revert back to our 05 contract under article 6 6.P for your daily qualifier which hasn't changed. So there is NO D.T

on your scheduled work day just like it is now. The D.T only comes in to play on your days off and after you have meet your 40 hr

qualifier. I wish it reverted back to the old way . trust me that was nice 4 and 4 .

just keeping it real.

glad you brought that up good question.

one other note folks. The T/A shows the changes to our current contract. IF it doesn't address a specific article then you have

to refer back to the 05 contract.

Pj,

Sure no problem.......I have the tentative T/A in front of me....go to page 4 (of 11) at the bottom, last paragraph....

Read your T/A

You are misleading people

Overtime - Article 6.Q will be modified as follows:

Modify 3. After the weekly overtime qualifier has been met, overtime will be paid at one and
one-half (1½) times the regular rate for the first eight (8) hours overtime worked and
two (2) times the regular rate for all overtime hours worked thereafter except as
provided for in items 4 and 5 below.

Article 6.Q modifies overtime on "days off only"

Anything over 16 hours on a work day remains at Time and 1/2
