Like I said before, you are all wasting your time and bandwidth.

Your not going to change anyone's mind on how they are going to vote, why waste your time?

700 not that I want to debate this with you there are folks who do read this board but don't post. They may or may not have made up there minds. Therefore everyone will continue to fight for there beliefs right up to the last minute to make ther points so the undecided who may be out there lurking can hear all postions before the vote.

I talk to these people you say no one cares about every week. They are
people with hardships just like you except they want to return to their
career at a rate their tenure deserves. I think about them every time
your callous fingers stink up this forum with the sickest trash talk. You
sicken me with the lack of respect you show these people. You not only
have a lack of concern as you drive the bus over them but you laugh
as you back up for seconds.

WELL , red eye ... if i had a magic wand that i could wave that would give these people their jobs back , i would ... but i don't ...and when we sit at the table the company "wants" something for them , that thing they want comes out of your pay scale , your sick days , your holidays ETC .. and the VAST majority of fleet service is not willing or interested in giving ANYTHING up for those out of luck ...

Is it the SAD truth , YES IT IS ....

that being said , the only question that you east coast workers need to ask yourselves is if you want to become one of these people ...

these people who are out on furlough have no real voice or representation , that means THIS is your chance to decide what you want to happen to you , vote yes no more sixty day rule , vote no , well then you know what your voting on ….

If I were trying to be more oh I don’t know humane I would say it comes down to numbers , how many people are left on furlough who would now come back ? 100 ? 150 ?

We should stop the bus NOW , that way we won’t throw possible hundreds maybe thousands under it …

Whoa..... there redeye....that's a little harsh. I think you know that was not the intent in which freedom wrote that post. Freedom has every right to voice his opinion on this forum however he wants, just as you do...but that was a little strong.

Freedom gets blasted on these threads but he has no ill intentions...he's simply trying to get out of poverty...an honorable cause.
 

Article 7 (Seniority) Integrated Seniority list will apply to all Employees no later than OEI.

Effective on Transition date amend CBA as follows:· Effective on date of ratification, the 60 day rule will be eliminated for any furloughs that occur after that date.

this is simple O man , if you haven't been put on furlough on may 8th 2008 after ratfication then you no longer have to worry about the 60 day rule ...

Any way you put it ,my point on the 60 day rule going away STILL stands , because this contract retires it .... you think it's later rather than sooner , ok fine think that ...

But one thing we are CERTAIN of is that your BK contract NEVER puts the 60 day rule away ... NEVER ...

I agree with freedom. I believe that date of ratification means when the vote is certified.
So that would be a few days after the vote on friday.
So yes 60 day rule can be history in a matter of a few days.

until the west coast cities are outsourced then they would have the 60 day rul applied thats how the company and the union operate dont put it past them to imply that rule. and Answer this question--WHY does FLEET being the ONLY LABOR GROUP IN THE AIRLINE INDUSTRY to have such a stupid rule? and as you are seeking to get out of hardship what do think the rest of us including the furloughed agents want to do!
 
You know what that 50% means ? It means DISSENTION … we won’t be able to agree on any one contract , and this company will play off it , for a very long time … if the company KNOWS what they have to do in order to get 50% plus one , they won’t come back with much more , and when they do , a lot of time will have passed us by …

You’’ll all be pissed at the next contract you see , but if the west isn’t rolled into your contract , the union will HAVE to present the offer … and we will do this all over again , it will be like a revolving door … and I don’t think you’ll get permission to strike , not if the membership is so close to voting something in time and time again …

If the union Didn’t present an offer to the membership and half of that membership feels that they should , you’ll have civil war within our union .


Here’s an interesting scenario for you … say we don’t vote this in , and the company comes and cuts a thousand or two east guys using the sixty day rule … then you guys threaten to strike …. There’s your replacement workers right there … and no they won’t be buying your solidarity B/S after having gone under the bus .

Uh, New sick time for the West suxs. It is not better than what is had now, and vaca is same...
We want better not worse!....
 
I have been told that the date of ratification is in the 30 day area after the 5/8 vote takes place.
