That’s great mike , did I mention that CHQ is here in PHX … I think we have a better beat on the grapevine ….

Word on the street is PHL will be suffering cuts along with CLT , I can’t say how great they will be , but that’s what I hear .. Of course most of you will have to discount this as a scare tactic , but that’s what I heard and I’m letting you know now .

If this merger goes thru your new CHQ will be in ORD. Word on the street? Do they know so much on the streets of PHX? or do you sit to the right of

yourself in a mirror............

Today in CLT the AGC had a q and a, if you want to call it that, not much was said except a lot maybe's and if's. One thing that he did say, he was asked why this t/a was worse then the one we already voted down, his answer was we didn't have the leverage this time. When asked what leverage he answered the CIC, snce the judge ruled against us.

Now tell me why do you think the company wants so badly to get rid of it?

It would make a merger more of a problem, but then again we haven't merged. Who would want a company divided?

They are scaring us they know that the united deal hangs in the balance they will come back to the table.

In any future merger with any airline , there’s only one man talented enough to lead the new entity to profitability , and that man is DOUG PARKER ….. He and his hand picked team leave me astounded … I know talent when I see it , and he’s got it …

Two thumbs up for DP and his crew ….. WAY UP!

Mr. Freedom,I saw this post from another thread and thought it was quite comical!!!Now we know why your so pro this POS T/A...your one of DP's boys....

Neidl said. "It could also reduce U.S. Airways operations at its Charlotte, N.C., and Philadelphia hubs because of their proximity to Washington D.C. "

These two hubs always get reduction news every time there's turmoil. They are use to it. Your " word on the street " is nothing more than another

rant that is printed in every major financial outlet.

So is the evidence against it ... why don't you start telling our workers about the snap backs , and start getting their hopes up about those "shinny " new hitches they will be able to affoard soon ...

Don't forget to tell the guys who fall to the sixty day rule where they can find a new career ....

OH and if the COC is lost , woops look like you'll just be wrong again , in the mean time , our workers will have forgone another raise ... and SCOPE
Nobody is talking about losing the CIC or grieving it. Separate the issues. What we are talking about is its validity and credibility that hemenway sees but you can't. Leverage. It gives leverage, especially since United is playing a big game. This isn't going to be some little regional airline merger. If fleet service folds for 10 years, half of you aren't going to be around. It would be shameful to give up merger protections and scope protections with the knowledge of a merger. MArketwatch said, "United and US AIRWAYS should announce this in 10 days." I'm no prophet but I told you that it was going to be announced the 3rd week of May, about 2 months ago because it has already been a 'done deal'.

At any rate, your opinion is just as valid as mine regarding which stations will be shut down or downsized with this merger. IMO, PHX will get exactly what this contract provides. Certainly I hope Im wrong and everything will be sunny and 70 as I would take no pleasure in seeing the west shut down.

''rock'' the current AGC's are just figure heads who are being put out there by RC to try to show
this TA in a good light. They know the tide is against them and they know they are not sharing
the fleets plights and hardships. In phl the AGC's won't even show up. We haven't seen BC or
PF since the last TA went up in smoke, correction we saw them at the nominations but BC didn't
come into the hall til the nominations were over. PF has openly said he knows hes' not welcome
and RC gets pi@#ed off everytime he comes here. RC called us ''sc$bs'' when we first had the
IAM--- for working while the IAM was on strike in the 90's (we were unrepresented then). He recently
called us (a female body part) this past fall, he said if we had any b@lls we would have a good TA
already. All the ifs', ands' and buts' are not answers.

I'm a NO VOTE and I know of many others who feel the same.

I too was at the Q & A in CLT. The only thing that I saw coming out of it was a lot of people sitting on the fence about how to vote. Afterwards those fence sitters had made up their minds and were overwhelmingly voting no. The inability of JR to answer the simplest questions with honest answers turned the tide in CLT to a big NO vote. The funniest thing was when a former amigo came in to help JR with a bunch of rehearsed questions. Everyone knew this ACT was pre-planned and saw right through the ruse.

OK...Y'all...here's tha deal...
Ok, Roabilly, I remember that free drink post although it is buried now. What was it BBQ and free drinks? I'm always open to free drinks as I can travel for free also. A bunch of us should get together in June for the celebration of eliminating The Boss.

I was up and down B-con today as well as in the bag room. I ask numerous people if they were going to the meetings or if they had gone and most said there was no need to go because they didn't care what JR had to say about this POS. They had already made up their minds to vote no.
