Effective on Transition date amend CBA as follows:
• Effective on date of ratification, the 60 day rule will be eliminated for any furloughs that
occur after that date.

Mike33,

What about this is unclear? The ones on death row have been given their shot
and will pass soon. For these people I would like a moment of silence.

My point is that it has aleady passed as of Ratification or doesn't become effective till Transition. Transition of what? I say the company will hold this union hostage till they determine TRANSITION is OEI..........so it's still here till Nov 3.........

redeye,
Glad to have you back .. WHERE the H*ll have been lately . YOUR the expert on this contract lingo s*it.

welcome back.........

When you are at a station with 1200 members with many questions on a daily
basis it is hard to find time to post.

You are doing a great job though

Nice of Randy to come to PHX..........where was he before the vote. If you keep giving
Randy the ''soapbox'' hes' just gonna keep on talking. You got your beloved wages and now
ask for respect and protection, not gonna happen. Randy got his yes vote and in doing so
protected himself as a sitting United Board Member. I read where he came across as a leader
telling the company, ''no more''. Well we'll see, according to your own Arizona Republic paper
a deal may be reached soon in a United / US merger.

When will you realize Randy is looking out for his own security. He sits on a board looking to
merge with US and tells you we (fleet) are against it, wake up. Its' probably going to happen
and in doing so the West will become predominatly part time and jobs will be lost. United will
reduce its' service to Reagen and keep its' Dulles hold with US and build up thier Intl' operation
out of PHL and CLT along with some from Dulles. In Phl they will take over A East and A West(all Intl')
giving them over 22++ gates for thier operation. They will move AA down to UA current gates and
DL will move to NW gates giving United (usairwys), all of both A Terminals along with B, C, and
F Terminals for thier Domestic operation.

It does not look good for the West from a fleet outlook.

Thanks

* DL currently has 2 gates at A West and AA rotates between 3 to 5 gates.
* BA and LH have moved into the US bag chute and operate in a union shop along side
the fleet from US, represented by the IAM. Thats how much say Randy has..........what a joke.

I understand what you are saying. The brilliant author of this section began by stating that
on "transition date amend the CBA as follows" and then followed three different relating points
with three different effective dates.

On page one of the T/A Transition date is as follows;

THEREFORE, the following applies:

I. Transition Dates. In general, the America West Employees in the Fleet Service craft or class
(“West Employeesâ€￾) will transition to the existing US Airways/IAM Collective Bargaining
Agreement, as amended (the “CBAâ€￾) within 30 days of ratification of this Agreement (the
“Transition Dateâ€￾), except where transition dates for specific CBA articles are otherwise set
forth in Attachment A hereto
.

The three bullet points are separately defined, and therefore have a separate transition date.

I hope this has further clarified your question. If not I will press on until I have a clear answer for you!

perv,
It's hard to believe a man that stands in front of a room full of union people and says , and I quote " No way is the T/A

and the COC grievance going to be put together , we will NOT leverage the COC grievance which is filed on behave of the membership

in front of the T/A " well we all know how that B/S played . I do believe RC said back in Sept . that WE voted for the COC grievance

to go Forward and not on the T/A .. What total B/S.

Guys and Gals out west in all sincerity Please listen to the folks back East that have been lied to by RC not once not twice but three

times, He is a politician and will say what ever you want to hear but will then stick a knife in your back. We on the east are trying

to prevent that from happening to you guys out west.

O-Man

O-man
RC figures he has a base of support in PHX. I would love for him to come to CLT and try

to spin his BS to us. We all know that will never happen.

Joe,
We can't even get our OWN AGC to talk to the membership SO I highly doubt that the self proclaimed "Don" of the IAM

would come out and speak to the masses. HE has B/S the group 1 to many times.

Redeye

I do apreciate your interp of the agreement. I'm no lawyer but I have a funny feeling about all this language being spread out between Articles and Bullet

Points.

Thanks MIKE

Hey Joe,

Does Mama know your online?

Redeye,

On what exact date does the west start getting paid the new wage rate? Same question for the east? Do we get holiday pay for Memorial Day ths year 2008? On what date do esat and west merge workforces? If a ramp agent has more than 100 sick days on the books, on what date do the get 100% pay when calling in sick?

RR
Are you a US employee? the terms and date were in US today.............

Im just curious if anyone can tell me what the COC would have done for us on the west? I don't understand how fighting for your COC would make me feel any more secure about my job than this t/a does.

You guys out west wanted this pos t/a...now you have to live with the outcome..which does'nt look good for you.....oh well...I hate to use the old phrase I TOLD YA SO...Good Luck To YA...

Not every West ramper wanted or voted for this T.A. ...yes, it appears there was a majority of folks out here voting in favor for it, but I didn't like it, voted NO, and I am out here about as West as it gets.

Same here Bagchucker. I voted no too. But since West makes up 1/3rd of the eligable voters we're at fault regardless.
